This is what laundry might smell like
When I first encountered this perfume, I twitched my nose a little, it seemed to me a strange, invasive and repulsive mixture of biting, sharp notes of soapy lavender, white flowers and powdery iris.
The whole place smelled of some kind of detergent and laundry (both freshly washed and unwashed clothes). I understand what's going on with this washing powder.
After subsequent tests, I began to appreciate the composition and the different phases that take place in it more, because it is a quite variable scent and therefore interesting, and, as it turned out, nice.
The beginning is a spicy mix of pink pepper, tart-sweet rhubarb and cologne citrus. Aromatic, but raw and slightly masculine lavender quickly comes into play, accompanied by powdery iris.
Signature is slightly spread out, the composition is very androgynous at this stage - feminine powdery iris and a more masculine lavender intertwine.
Then come the white flowers, especially tuberose, which is loud, dominant and characterful. You have to like this flower to appreciate the white floral accord in this composition.
In the Signature base, it visibly softens and sweetens. Tonka and sandalwood give the composition a much sweeter and creamier character, and amber introduces a lot of warmth.
The ending, in which, together with the base ingredients, we can still feel a bit of white floral with a slight iris powderiness, is more feminine.
I would describe the whole thing as unisex, slightly leaning towards the feminine side. However, I think a man can wear it successfully too. And if a woman, she is rather a strong woman with a strong character who likes slightly masculine accessories in her perfumes.
The parameters are excellent, which is not often the case with Oriflame perfumes. The durability is all day long and the projection is very expressive. Over-application can be overwhelming.
Visually, the bottle enclosed in a wooden frame looks very attractive and interesting, but impractical. It's better to take it off, you can probably use it as a photo frame, but I don't really see any use for it here due to its dimensions. A bit of an unnecessary gadget.
The women's Signature is much more successful than the men's version, which is nothing more than a variation on the already hackneyed Aventus-style creations.
