Lattafa does it again.
What serendipitous timing we have here. I sampled ADG Profumo a few weeks ago and immediately fell in love with it. Then I was gut-punched when I found out it was being discontinued. I immediately ordered a 6.0oz bottle, along with a bottle of Lattafa Suqraat that supposedly was a good clone of Profumo.

I sampled both on each arm. I could not differentiate between the two during the opening. Maybe it's my inexperienced nose, but they smelled identical! The smokey incense along with the ADG DNA was there in Suqraat! This is one of the holy grail types of clones that exist out there IMO. With that said, however, it's not 100% identical. You absolutely notice the power of Profumo when comparing the two. The projection and intensity of Profumo are a step above Suqraat, for sure. Nothing an extra spray or two can't fix, right?

If you love Profumo, get this. You do not need to sample it. It's cheap enough to immediately blind buy. I was sad when I found out Profumo was being discontinued, but that sadness quickly subsided after I experienced this dupe.

9/10 clone!

AGT inspired.
Ok, this is an ADG, inspired cologne, can’t pinpoint the exact one but closer to parfum to me. Most of these UAE fragrances need to macerate for a few months to reach their full potential. Because they ship right away after manufacturing. Also, everybody’s skin is a little bit different oilier skin tends to hold onto fragrance longer than dry skin. Look most ADG’s are $100+ if you like that DNA this is well worth the money. Even if you have one of the ADG‘s, you can save that for a special events and use this every day.

A Refreshing Bridge Between Eras
Suqraat offers a pleasant, clean experience, reminiscent of a lighter, more refined Aramis blended with Acqua di Gio. It cleverly bridges the gap between a classic 1966 fragrance and a more modern 1996 style, creating a neat hybrid.
The initial burst is distinctly Aramis, but the dry down reveals the Acqua di Gio influence, with notes of ginger and wood emerging. This versatile fragrance is hard to fault. For its price (I got mine for $18), Suqraat is a superbly crafted men's fragrance that's earned a regular spot in my rotation.
While I disagree with those who claim it's solely an Acqua di Gio clone, it certainly shares that style. However, Suqraat has more depth and complexity. Like many Middle Eastern houses such as Lattafa, they've created something unique rather than a direct copy, which is commendable and offers excellent value. A definite blind buy recommendation if you're considering it. Simply put: Suqraat is good.

Post-Gym Funk in a Bottle
I really don’t get the obsession with this DNA. After hearing the fragrance community rave about how Lattafa Suqraat brought the legendary Acqua di Giò Profumo back from the dead, I had to try it. If this is what everyone was mourning, I think it should have stayed buried.
I’m a huge fan of the original Acqua di Giò. The OG is a masterpiece because it’s clean, airy, and smells like a fresh Mediterranean breeze. But this? To my nose, this is just a musty mess. Instead of smelling "deep" or "masculine," it smells like a group of guys who just finished a heavy gym session and tried to cover it up with an old-school herbal spray.

There is a damp, heavy quality here likely the mix of incense and patchouli that feels dated and "sweaty" rather than fresh. It lacks all the transparency and "sparkle" that makes the original ADG so good. If you want to smell like a damp locker room, the hype is real. But if you actually want to smell clean and pleasant, stick to the original or move on to something modern like Profondo.
Don't believe the hype if you hate "musty" scents"

ADG Alternative?
After the production of ADG Profumo was discontinued, I acquired this candidate as an alternative.

The ADG DNA is certainly present, but personally, I miss the familiar depth, spiciness, longevity, and projection of the Profumo.

In light of the price, it is certainly suitable as an everyday fragrance, but it cannot compete with its inspiration.

Very close to Acqua di Gio Profumo/Parfum. Maybe not 100% but fine for the price.

80% similar to Profumo. More citrus-sweet forward with a warm touch through ginger, less brisk and bitter, can be perceived as synthetic.

this is not a clone of profumo. yes it has that dna, but is absolutely linear, synthetic, boring. better options with adg dna out there

Suqraat is a musty, overhyped mess. Never smelled the one inspired by. Probably wouldn't like it either. Smells like musty locker room.

A simplified version of Profumos with subpar H+S. Perfect for the office drawer. Too weak for any other situations.

Top note almost identical to the Profumo, but it fades too quickly. H+S not good. No depth like the original. Only okay for under €20.

If you're looking for a 1-to-1 clone of Acqua Di Gio Profumo, you shouldn't buy this scent. ADG Profumo is much more complex and high-quality.

more of a modern variation of the EDT. AGD DNA present but no resin and no dark woods. Citrusy, linear progression

Good scent, close to the original but not a good H+S.
