Spicy nostalgia
I need to expand a little on this fragrance.
Azzaro launched pour homme in 1978. Back then I was blown away and had to have the fragrance immediately, because I was totally fixated on such spicy men's fragrances, I only wore them for a long time, apart from Chanel 19 and the good old Scherrer, no women's fragrances came close to me.
I don't remember how much Azzaro cost back then, but men's fragrances were generally cheaper than women's fragrances, so I could certainly afford it.
Now, of course, I was very excited when this fragrance was included in my newly acquired fragrance mini collection.
The start is already good, the bergamot gives a wonderful lemony touch that lasts a while, I absolutely do not smell plum, peach, but the tireless jasmine is skillfully woven in, which makes the fragrance very complex, I like it.
I sometimes have difficulties with vetiver when it gets too earthy, but that's not the case here. The beautiful moss paired with a light patchouli note gives the final zing and reminds me a little of Ivoire at the end.
Summa summarum: Not as spicy as Azzaro pour Homme but it has that fine seventies style that I appreciated back then and still do. My Mini has probably suffered a little, but the hint of a superbly crafted fragrance is still there.
