middle-of-the-road bargain vanilla

Outremer's Vanille should please many fans of chewy vanilla candies, and at a very reasonable price. (It's available at Smallflower locations in Chicago and through their mail-order service at $22 USD for 100 ml.) To my nose, it's more of a genuine vanilla (vanilla extract) than the many vanilla offerings of Comptoir Sud Pacifique; has a bit more brown-sugar depth than the Perliers; has more body than the Laurence Dumont ones (Les Senteurs Gourmandes)and is not as overpowering as Lush's Vanillary. I tend to find this sort of straightforward vanilla a bit boring on its own, but it layers well. (It went nicely with L'Erbolario's Spezie, for instance.) It has moderate sillage and excellent lasting power.

a vanilla with no funny business

Outremer’s Vanille is a profoundly vanilla-y vanilla. It’s nearly a straight-up, high-quality, really lovely vanilla extract, with a rich, balsamic, warmth, and some pleasant plastic butteriness. A little lump of vanilla waffle cone incense stored in an empty tub of vanilla frosting. There aren't any weird twists or turns, it’s a fairly linear scent from to finish. I think this is the first thing I would recommend to a vanilla fiend who doesn’t want any funny business with their vanilla fragrance.

Super sweet, easy reach

I fell in love with this after borrowing a spritz from a roommate during a monthlong trip to Bali. Made a new friend, and fell in love with this perfume.

So I bought the 1.7oz/50ml and it's cotton candy but also citrus (???) - like a lighter version of Sundazed/Magnetic Candy. But the smaller bottle I had smelled was vanilla. Did some googling, turns out that the smaller bottle is more concentrated... and the bigger bottle is almost like an EDT version! So if you tried one size, try the other!

For me, I prefer the more vanillic/denser version so I had to go back and buy the smaller 15ml size. Glad I have both (and one can live in my purse!).

Cotton Candy Vanilla

If this lasted longer than fifteen seconds on me I'd love it so much, because the scent is so good!! Then again I do have Mazzolari Vaniglia and St Barth Vanille West Indies which this smells IDENTICAL to and they both last longer so I may just use this for layering purposes and maybe spray my sheets with it.

Artificial vanilla and marshmallow scent

When I sprayed it, I thought "Ah, this is the last note or base scent of Ariana Grande's Cloud." Rather, I think Ariana added various fragrances to this base. Now it's clear that the vanilla I like is not the vanilla that many people say it is. I prefer something more natural, or closer to the scent of real vanilla beans. This is completely vanillin. I often see people in reviews saying "it smells like plastic," but I read an article about using discarded plastic as an upcycled raw material to make vanillin fragrance. Yes, so everyone's nose is right! And it's no wonder, the true identity of the vanillin was plastic. (In the first place, real vanilla fragrance is hard to obtain, super expensive, and cannot be made in large quantities, so there is a mismatch between supply and demand.)
This smells of vanillin, and although it says cotton candy, it also has a strawberry-like atmosphere. It smells quite cheap, like cheap candy. But I heard it gets better if you leave it for a while, so I'll give it a try lol.Does anyone like pure vanilla essential oil or? This doesn't smell like natural vanilla at all. I don't recommend it.
P.S. I tried macerating it for about two months.
The result was the same, a cheap, unintelligent vanilla. It was far from the scent of vanilla extracted from real vanilla, and it smelled like the white "fake vanilla flavor" in the middle of an Oreo cookie. If you call it vanilla, then it's vanilla, but I don't think it can be called "vanilla" in the true sense of the word.
