Excellent fragrance and convincingly similar to an old fave

Gucci Pour Homme II was one of my favourite fragrances and I was gutted when it was discontinued. So when I heard about Imbue by Parfums Vintage, it was an instabuy.

I eagerly sprayed it on as soon as I received and wow - it's exactly as I remember GPHII. I'm sure there are some subtle differences, but they've been lost to memory for me, and this is as good as an exact clone - I've never smelled such a convincing dupe of any fragrance.

Longevity is excellent, I can still smell it after a few hours of spraying, and the dry down is lovely. I can definitely see myself buying another bottle once I've finished with the current one.

A calming fragrance

A nice, well blended and calming fragrance. Not the best from the House of PV but decent to say the least. Imbue is something to wear on a Sunday afternoon when drinking tea and reading a book. Longevity is awesome at 8+ hours.

All year around

For me, Imbue from Parfums Vintage is a real "feel-good fragrance" that can be worn all year round, apart from the heat of summer.
I was able to test Gucci pour homme II and Imbue side by side. The difference is hardly noticeable to me

The better GUCCI Pour Homme II ?

Short & sweet YES !!!

By the very clearly longer shelf life. (the GUCCI was / is known much too weak "on the chest"). The sillage is also significantly more extensive paired with the slightly spicier note it is my current favorite among the summer fragrances. (Which one can now also finally perceive long)

For all those who miss the GUCCI Pour Homme II and are looking for a more than worthy "successor" will definitely be thrilled at this fragrance despite the high price.

Gucci pour homme 2 with extra bergamot

This fragrance is simply wonderful. It is 95% similar to Gucci pour homme 2.....but the freshness of the bergamot is definitely more pronounced here. However, I do not find this a bit bad. Thus, he smells a little fresher and thus fits even better in the spring and summer.
A great implementation of the fragrance DNA of the original!
