A fresh floral scent for a well-groomed woman (man?)
Comment Version 2.0
Well, I finally bought "My Diamond." In my memory, the scent remained a nice lilac-lily of the valley fragrance. Well, what was wrong with me back then that I identified the scent as lilac during testing? I really can't say.
Already upon first wear, I noticed that I can no longer find lilac (has the scent been reformulated or was I just that confused back then?), but if anything, it's more lily of the valley, and not throughout the entire scent progression.
So how is the scent now?
"My Diamond" is a completely unsweetened, fresh, slightly green, floral fragrance. A white floral scent.
Upon the first spray, you notice subtle citrus notes and a hint of green apple. Quickly, it transitions to the well-blended heart of white flowers. I think gardenia is definitely present; I'm not so sure about tuberose; maybe there's also lotus flower due to a touch of fresh aquatic notes, definitely iris, and of course, musk. (Occasionally, you get a lily of the valley impression.)
The tonka base comes late and thankfully only shows up briefly. (Otherwise, there is really not a gram of sugar in it). Beautiful!
The scent is rounded, beautiful, fresh, natural, unobtrusive, and definitely gives off a well-groomed impression: like freshly showered and moisturized (even a bit nivea-like).
The sillage is rather subtle, and the longevity is about 5-6 hours.
Conclusion: this is a scent for a well-groomed, fresh-looking clean woman (man?). The scent is not an innovation and not a "wow," but it feels coherent and high-quality and is pleasant to wear. If I didn't know better, I could have believed that the perfume came from a designer or niche house. Definitely worth the money.
