Tabac Rouge starts off strong with a gorgeous pipe tobacco scent sweetened with honey and balanced by cinnamon. It is an exact match for the smell of the wonderfully kind gentleman who was like a grandfather to me when I was a child and always had a pouch of tobacco in his pocket for his pipe. This scent evolves in the first two hours, with the tobacco gradually fading into the background as the honey becomes more prominent and something powdery starts to emerge. After two to three hours the tobacco has gone and what is left is a sickly sweet Playdoh skin scent. The good thing is that the projection has simmered down to a skin scent by this time, but the smell is unpleasant enough that I want to wash it off. If it weren't for the dry down I would buy a bottle of this. Unfortunate, but there are other beautiful sweet tobacco options out there.
