Ode to the Phantoms
So, after my statement, here is a detailed report on this rarity...
I had never heard of the brand Archange until recently. A men's fragrance (along with aftershave) and a women's fragrance were all they produced. Otherwise, there is once again nothing to find out about the manufacturer. At least there is a year of release mentioned, and that becomes interesting, as the similarity to the first men's fragrance from Boss (which was released two years later) can hardly be denied.
One step at a time: honey yes, paired with spice. Not quite as intense as the Boss, but still clearly present. This fragrance is also incredibly complex. During the first test run, I was inclined to briefly characterize it as "similar to Azzaro PH, with less anise and more wood." By now, I also find it difficult to draw comparisons, as it seems to show me different facets every time. Simply amazing, indeed almost unbelievable, what such a rare and unknown fragrance demonstrates in terms of quality.
Unfortunately, there is no fragrance pyramid here (but perhaps "thankfully," as the information would not influence or distort the judgment), but I would be tarred and feathered if this fragrance did not contain many ingredients.
Very masculine and with a clear presence. The definitely present sweetness does not change that. The good news is that it is still available on the bay, at least the aftershave can be had there for a very fair price.
