Good for subtle daily wear

This one is good for if you want people to think you just smell Like That, basically zero projection but lasts forever on clothing! In my opinion nicely avoids the vanilla note pitfall of making you smell like a cabbage patch baby doll after 3 hours. Gentle but not delicate, a tiny bit smoky and has been described as “comforting”. I think it smells like something that a beautiful PTA mom would wear to her 8 year old’s basketball games

Warm, cozy vanilla fragrance!

Now that I've been on this fragrance journey for a few months, I decided to get back to the first fragrances I bought at the beginning and review them with my newly aquired knowledge. This is one of them. Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere was a blind-buy that I got for cheap at TJMaax. I already knew I loved Vanilla so I was sure I was going to like this one.

It's a warm, cozy, creamy, vanilla and coconut scent. It's pretty linear, so what you get at the beginning stays throughout. On my skin the vanilla and coconut mix to form this sweet and creamy lactonic scent. When I first got this fragrance, I could never put the words on what bothered me (I tried the shower gel and was immediately repulsed). Now that I'm a bit less newbie, I can say that the vanilla, coconut and musk mixed to form this powdery accord I can't get over. I'm so sad I couldn't like the top and middle notes (although there doesn't seem to be any) because the drydown is amazing. After about 2-3 hours it all becomes so beautiful. There's the creamy, woody, warm and cozy vibe without the powdery accord.

Overall it's nice and soft, I've used it a few times during the day and especially at night when I was about to go to sleep. I'll be finishing the bottle, but probably won't be getting another one.

Cozy, Sleep Type Perfume

The smell is so cozy, and can also pick up the individual notes the woody and cashmere notes in this are very prominent, but not strong enough that the vanilla would get lost. It is a vanilla scent through and through, I can definitely smell the cashmere and woody notes and after it dries down I can smell the musk as well, soft, fluffy, and creamy, but the vanilla is 100% the star note.

The scent is so cozy, warm, fluffy, and light, that I can really see it as a snuggle/sleep type of perfume. It's a very light pretty vanilla with some depth, that I can easily pair with a vanilla, macadamia, or sandalwood warm body butter or lotion and go to sleep.

Beautiful opening, strange dry-down

This one opens with the most beautiful sweet, carmelized, creamy blend right out the gate - but it quickly drys down into what the bulk of the fragrance ends up being: a "cooler" sandalwood with a bit of what smells almost like licorice or star anise, almost as if it were an iced sandalwood latte with star anise foam (I know it's not listed, but it's distinctive and definitely smells like it's there!).

After an hour or so, the "ghost note" of licorice/star anise turns almost metallic, and the vanilla sandalwood somewhat resembles play doh - which obviously wasn't very pleasant. Almost smells like a plasticky body spray from Dollar General. If it had stayed with all of the notes in the opening, I would have loved it!

There are so many other pretty caramel/warm/spicy fragrances out there, that this is a no-go for me. Would recommend testing it at Ulta first before buying a full bottle.

Meh it’s okay

I was expecting a really sweet, cozy, warm vanilla scent from this. I just got plastic toasted coconut from it :( then a couple hours later it smelled like coconut lotion. If I really liked coconut, then this would be amazing, but it’s not my favorite kind of scent. I was disappointed since i was expecting some sort of vanilla in here, but nada.
