Good for subtle daily wear

This one is good for if you want people to think you just smell Like That, basically zero projection but lasts forever on clothing! In my opinion nicely avoids the vanilla note pitfall of making you smell like a cabbage patch baby doll after 3 hours. Gentle but not delicate, a tiny bit smoky and has been described as “comforting”. I think it smells like something that a beautiful PTA mom would wear to her 8 year old’s basketball games

Warm, cozy vanilla fragrance!

Now that I've been on this fragrance journey for a few months, I decided to get back to the first fragrances I bought at the beginning and review them with my newly aquired knowledge. This is one of them. Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere was a blind-buy that I got for cheap at TJMaax. I already knew I loved Vanilla so I was sure I was going to like this one.

It's a warm, cozy, creamy, vanilla and coconut scent. It's pretty linear, so what you get at the beginning stays throughout. On my skin the vanilla and coconut mix to form this sweet and creamy lactonic scent. When I first got this fragrance, I could never put the words on what bothered me (I tried the shower gel and was immediately repulsed). Now that I'm a bit less newbie, I can say that the vanilla, coconut and musk mixed to form this powdery accord I can't get over. I'm so sad I couldn't like the top and middle notes (although there doesn't seem to be any) because the drydown is amazing. After about 2-3 hours it all becomes so beautiful. There's the creamy, woody, warm and cozy vibe without the powdery accord.

Overall it's nice and soft, I've used it a few times during the day and especially at night when I was about to go to sleep. I'll be finishing the bottle, but probably won't be getting another one.

Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere — Philosophy: Classic Warm, Woodsy, Vanilla Goodness

Original Warm Vanilla Sugar? Babe?! Is that you?!

B&BW reformulated Warm Vanilla Sugar a few years back, and I've been mourning it. Someone I love very much helped me pick the OG out at the mall many (manymanymany) years ago, and it's been a treasured signature ever since. Some perfumes carry snapshots of your life in them, and WVS is one of mine. It has seen me through grief and joy and everything in between.

After testing a ton of similar scents across several price points, trying to capture what it did so well, I broke down and hunted for Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. I'd heard it was in the neighborhood of that beloved perfume, but I was hesitant about blind buying something that's $55 a bottle. (Perfumeries: more sample sets! I am begging you! Decanters: more varied samples from "lower end" brands!)

Luckily I found a decant and it arrived. It's so close I could cry. If they discontinue it before I can fill a closet with twenty bottles of it, I WILL cry.

This is a gentle, milky vanilla on a bed of soft wood and musk - a smooth, creamy warmth without anything cloying. It's a Good Mom hug in perfume form: comfy, cozy and grown up. The vanilla is pure vanilla beans rather than sugary cupcake frosting, the sandalwood silky rather than harsh, the musk is clean skin fresh out of the shower, rather than anything lustier. And the coconut? The coconut is subtle, twisting through the melange and peeking out shyly only now and then.

The resulting fragrance is simple, versatile and beautiful. Working at the office? Wear her. Cuddling up on a cold winter night? Wear her. A walk in springtime? A day at the beach? Wear her. Some perfumes are pushy in different settings, floating around like they own the place; Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere lounges around casually like she belongs everywhere - because she does.

The sole difference I can detect between this and classic WVS is the lack of a rice note, but otherwise it's almost exactly the same. If you've been searching for a dupe, and none of the other recommendations have been quite right, this may hit the spot.

Cozy, Sleep Type Perfume

The smell is so cozy, and can also pick up the individual notes the woody and cashmere notes in this are very prominent, but not strong enough that the vanilla would get lost. It is a vanilla scent through and through, I can definitely smell the cashmere and woody notes and after it dries down I can smell the musk as well, soft, fluffy, and creamy, but the vanilla is 100% the star note.

The scent is so cozy, warm, fluffy, and light, that I can really see it as a snuggle/sleep type of perfume. It's a very light pretty vanilla with some depth, that I can easily pair with a vanilla, macadamia, or sandalwood warm body butter or lotion and go to sleep.

Close-Wearing Wood

I was expecting more of a sweet gourmand based on the name but this is a really nice, subtle woodsy vanilla. Perfect for if you want something woodsy and sweet and cozy but want a "safe" scent that isn't too overpowering. I find it very reminiscent of Vanilla Skin Eau de Parfum. This would also be a fantastic layering fragrance!
