No citrus - just basic, simple musk

This was quite linear to me, like a slightly-sweet musk and not much else. Every note is blended so well that it's not really detectable: the patchouli isn't super strong or overwhelming, I did not detect any tangerine, and the peony wasn't very clear either.

Not a lot of depth - I love musk, but felt like this didn't have anything super special going on. Probably best used for layering.

P.S. I hunted this down because I saw another reviewer said this was a "soapy citrus". I LOVE soapy + citrus, but it was neither of those for me at all, unfortunately!

Easy as 1-2-3

This reminds me a bit of the NR signature Egyptian musk with a lighter sillage and packing less overall punch. Patchouli is noticeable but not offensive. The peony is a soft cloud and there must be some other floral notes floating around in the background. This is another daytime, fresh scent in the genre of "Lovely" by SJP and the whole Narciso Rodriguez line. If you really like this scent, I would recommend SJP or NR and this will undoubtedly disappoint those looking for an all day companion. Like most Philosophy fragrances, this will dissipate down to a faint whisper after the first hour, unless you have layered it with the matching shampoo, lotion, body soap and reapply with the travel pen...as they are hoping you will do. I give this a 1/10 for originality, 2/10 for longevity and 3/10 for sillage. If I liked this smell at all I would get it, because it's the sort of scent that is great for travel in all of its economical travel ready formats. But, alas...I don't...so, I won't.

Cheerful Floral Freshness

The first thing that greets you after spraying is a brief appearance of a spicy-citrusy breeze reminiscent of ethereal mandarin oil. After that, the floral-fresh component unfolds, lasting for many hours. The patchouli note remains rather hidden, not making much of an impact.
Overall, a cheerful, youthful fragrance for the warmer season that doesn’t clash. Quite nice for those who enjoy floral scents.

Rodriguez (the black one) too intense? Parker (the lovely one) too weak? Here’s a great middle ground. Elegant, creamy, chic & floral. Lasts forever on me.
