Powder-Leather? Leather-Powder!
I joined in sharing this scent because the pyramid really intrigued me.
My expectations were high; a beautifully leathery "Harzer" was to arrive.
Well, on the paper strip, the earthy patchouli comes out, and you can also smell a bit of resin. That would have been too much patchouli for me, as it gives me headaches.
But on my skin, the perfume presents itself quite differently, and I am very grateful for that!
The scent starts off in the first few minutes with a good portion of leather and amber. The scent of soft leather remains, the slightly resinous (for me, resinous) amber takes a back seat and is replaced by a delicate powdery iris scent. For me, it’s not a dry iris, but there’s a slight creaminess involved. Maybe the musk plays a part in that?! In any case, I really like it!
In the base, I hardly smell any patchouli, just enough for me to enjoy it. I don't pick up any vanilla. Leather and the powdery iris remain until the end.
The longevity is insane; I applied it yesterday around 1:00 PM, and I can still perceive it well on my wrists (9:00 AM the next day). The sillage is strong; if you spray too much, the scent can fill rooms.
I think it’s suitable for any situation in almost any season. In summer, I wouldn’t use it due to its "punch." But otherwise, it’s definitely a lovely companion. Depending on the dosage, it can be worn at work as well as for partying.
