Today I discovered Profumi del Forte Colonia 1452 in the perfumery I trust on sale.

Oh - I don’t know the brand at all - but you can always expect a lot from the Italians.

And the opening of orange and tangerine is just so delicious!
While the orange is responsible for the delicious factor - the tangerine adds a greener touch.
Mediterranean flowers surround the fragrance, and I feel like I’m in Bella Italia.

Moreover, Colonia pleasantly reminds me of the tasty Nimm 2 candies - the only "Klümchen" I like.

Additionally, I feel like I’m carrying a vitamin cocktail with 1452 - invigorating and uplifting.
No worries - the fragrance has nothing sticky or cloyingly sweet about it.

The desire to buy is awakening.

But right next to it stands the equally beautiful Vittoria from the same label.
Nimm 2!

The best summer perfume that no one knows

It is definitely autumn already, the weather here in Wuppertal is uncomfortable and rainy, daylight saving time starts tonight (yay, an extra hour of sleep) & the summer is just a nice memory now. And yet, I am treating myself to a genuine summer, sun, beach perfume with 1452 from Profumi del Forte. A true leisure perfume for hot days that unfortunately hardly anyone knows & is definitely the best from the Colonia line of the Italian brand. It’s simply lovely to indulge in this even in autumn, to swim in summer memories & enjoy the refreshment. In short: I just had to add this to my collection this year - the thrill it gave me during multiple tests was just too great.

While the other two Colonias seem to take more classic paths of refreshment (neroli & maritime), 1452 smells completely different, definitely special, even though the fragrance pyramid appears unremarkable. The scent is a real winner - especially on the test strip, it should attract many customers in my opinion. On the skin, it is still grand, but the linear, somewhat cheap-looking CapriSun vibe could prevent absolute top ratings. However, the fair price for 120 ml is worth mentioning; I even paid a little less due to a discount promotion.

Tangerines (small, sweeter mandarins) meet mint & indefinable, green synthetic flowers - that’s how I would describe the middle part of the Colonia trilogy. It evokes youthful memories of the famous CapriSun or other refreshing drinks from TetraPaks. Not niche at all - and yet so likable & simply beautiful. The minty flowers make the scent special and not like a generic blend - it surely holds a top position in my summer canon. I’m just not sure how quickly it can wear off...

Bottle: beautiful EdC castle design - you’ll see what I mean ;)
Sillage: on the strip it’s penetrating, on the skin it quickly becomes summer average.
Longevity: 4-5 hours is something you have to live with & reapply.

Conclusion: anyone who cares even a little about my comments & opinion - please test it from April 2015! ;)
