Waxed exotic
Vittoria Apuana would be a bottled Heaven if only it smelled this exotic as the notes suggest!

After the initial blast of the tropical dots of mandarin banana and coconut, that are so yummy like the best possible fruity cocktail, it somehow "falls" into the deep amber-coconut notes which make it smell as if you would light the coconut scented candle and poured the melted wax all over yourself. After so many tests I can't help the feeling it smells stuffy, waxy and unnatural, unfortunately... So let's face the truth- as it's simply not worth that enormous amount of money.

The lasting power is incredibly good!

Vacation in a Bottle
Profumi del Forte: a bottled tropical vacation on the beach. It starts with a citrusy creamy coconut accord that is enveloped in tiare flowers. A weird (green)banana note , reminding a little bit the smell of fruity chewing gum , brings more creaminess enhancing somehow the coconut accord which can be easily considered as main note of this perfume while the tiare flowers are slowly fading away after the first hour.
This light banana note save this scent from the suntan lotion cliché , taking in fun the entire composition and bringing to the person wearing Vittoria Apuana that typical carefree feeling common during vacation.
As the fragrance evolves on the skin it becomes much more sweeter, the coconut note now it’s enveloped in a gourmand amber vanilla accord that will linger close to skin for some hours.

I want more bananas!
I wrote this review 2 years ago (on another site), but I just got a sample of Vittoria Apuana again and thought I'd retry it because the notes are still so appealing to me and I wanted to know if my perception of it changed.

This was on top of my test list for years, so I hyped it up in my head a lot. I fantasized about Vittoria Apuana as the ultimate tropical banana dream perfume, and it's not quite that. Not in 2021, not now.

Nevertheless, it's a very beautiful fragrance. The main notes to my nose are tiare, vanilla and coconut, in that order. It's a warm, beachy floral with a very creamy texture. The only dry thing about it is the coconut in the opening, but it melts into the vanilla quickly. The citrus top notes are just small accents, I get mandarin and bitter orange and also some unlisted lime that subtly lifts the scent.
And the banana? Well, I find that to be quite subtle, too. I imagined the whole scent to be fruitier. I re-read the other reviews today and some members mentioned it smells like dried banana chips - yes, that's what I get, too! Blended with the vanilla and tiare it doesn't stand out though.

If you're looking for an exotic, sweet, vanillic floral with coconut, this is definitely worth a try. It's a rather well-blended, sophisticated take on this theme, but still fun and playful.

In this dream world, only imagination is real
Vittoria Apuana surprisingly begins with banana, a citrusy banana, somewhat artificial but only minimally, slightly sweet and somehow immediately uplifting. That's something different: banana! Somehow I have to laugh. A light hint of chewing gum follows closely, and not the typical tuberose chewing gum, but, well, what was it called - a chewing gum that existed when I was a child. These gums could be bought individually and were wrapped in paper in about 15cm long strips. When you unwrapped them, they were whitish, slightly velvety coated, soft and flexible, and released their delicious scent. They were big enough to blow proper bubbles. The paper that wrapped them was, I believe, blue and red. I probably don’t remember the name because I was so small that I couldn’t read yet. Once reminded of this favorite chewing gum, I can still smell it more or less strongly for hours, while Tiaré increasingly becomes the main note of this chewing gum, uh, fragrance.
I think Tiaré is also the reason why Vittoria Apuana divides opinions. Tiaré is a very special, very dense, floral and at the same time enchantingly intense, sweet scent, and I can understand why some people don’t like it. I once saw a Tiaré flower; it is wonderfully delicate and beautiful yet somehow surprisingly thick and strong. In this respect and in terms of size, it reminds me a bit of the flowers of the magnolias, which are now also native to us. Tiaré flowers are traditionally macerated in coconut oil in Tahiti, where they are native. This oil is then applied for skin and hair care.
This classic combination can also be sensed in Vittoria Apuana: there’s a little coconut here too. However, I don’t smell coconut very strongly.

For me, Vittoria Apuana remains an intense, sweet Tiaré scent with a bit of banana in the background, a little coconut, and a hint of childhood chewing gum nostalgia for hours. During the heart note, a little vanilla sneaks in very quietly and slowly.
Only after about 7-8 hours do I notice a bit of amber, while the banana is now unfortunately hardly perceptible. Vittoria Apuana lasts a very long time. Only after 12-14 hours does the scent slowly fade. On clothing, I can still smell a hint of amber, vanilla, and Tiaré even days later.

I perceive Vittoria Apuana as a magical, carefree, cheerful summer fragrance that invites dreaming in many ways, dreaming of worlds I have never been to, completely happy, harmonious worlds, a nature-close life in freedom, kindness, lightness....dream worlds that are only real in imagination.

A Day at the Beach... Summer, Sun, Air Mattress ;)
Vittoria Apuana doesn’t seem to be faring very well in the reviews... perhaps it's already totally forgotten... Time to share my impression of this, in my opinion, quite successful summer fragrance.
Thanks to the lovely Parfuma for sending me a small sample ;)
Somehow, I quite like coconut in summer fragrances... and this one is no exception.
Are you ready for a day at the beach plus Caribbean vibes?
And I'll say it right away... this coconut can really blow you away!
About the scent:
Vittoria Apuana starts off fresh and zesty with orange. But that only lasts about 2 minutes before the coconut comes in. Delicious and especially airy!... not overly sweet... just right. A hint of Tiare is present, but coconut remains in the foreground.
My first thought was Hawaiian Tropic... already on sun-warmed skin plus air mattress on the water and the sun on my face :)
I can’t really describe it any other way. Is it ozonic? That’s how I could imagine it, even though I don’t really know what “ozonic” is supposed to smell like.
The base features amber and vanilla, which add a fine spiciness and creaminess to the coconut, but they never push themselves to the forefront.
Fortunately, banana doesn’t come through for me... and I don’t find the scent gourmand. No, it’s airy-light, not too sweet... perfect for summer days.
I can definitely imagine wearing Vittoria Apuana as a mood lifter and for summer vibes even in winter. The scent simply puts you in a good mood and is primarily a spring/summer candidate.
The longevity is about 8 hours. At first, you leave a lovely scent trail (coconut) behind you... but Vittoria Apuana becomes very close to the skin after 2 hours.
Conclusion:
Hawaiian Tropic at a higher price... but it has something... full blast coconut, yet still airy!
A day at the beach... summer, sun, air mattress ;)
Whether I would be ready to pay so much for a scent that reminds me of a sunscreen, I honestly don’t know yet. I am still blown away by this coconut and will think about whether Vittoria Apuana can join my collection next summer; for now, the remaining sample can stay in my treasure chest ;)
Pssst.... if you like coconut scents... you should definitely give it a try. Don’t let the bad reviews discourage you ;)

Smells like back at the gravel pit, when sunscreen had SPF 2 and smelled like coconut - yummy! - only the oil cost 4 marks.

Zesty oranges briefly at the start + then the coconut arrives. Bright + light. Plus, lush sweet Tiare flowers for Caribbean dreams in winter.

The beginning is, let's call it, "difficult" but then comes the coconut explosion. I love it but I think it's only for coconut lovers.

Citrusy-musty-chemical-cyanide-bitter almond-green-sharp. Tuberose-apple + waxy resin = unfortunate mix/or a botched batch?
