A nice summer fragrance
In the beginning I do smell citrics, mainly yuzu, one of my favourite citric notes, mixed with lemon and orange. This mix leads towards bitterness and that's why I feel yuzu is more prominent than the rest of citrics.

Then this citric mix is sustented by a bed of musks, those ones that make a fragrance last for a long time and give the perfume a slightly powdery character. That's all.

Aenotus is long lasting, above the average citric fragrance. Although after one hour aprox. it's a skin scent.

A nice summer long-lasting skin fragrance even for hot days.

Short distances, summer
Aenothus, as the rest of the puredistance perfumes are, is a great perfume. In this case we are in front of a very good citrusy perfume, very dense and with a long lasting power that i have never seen before un this kind of scents. However the sillage is moderate soft, keeping close to the skin most ofnthe time, what makes the perfume perfect for day time use even under warm weather. I would recommend It even for dates which take place during the day because It gives a fresh and very sexy feeling to the skin.
The first i get is the mix of citrus fruits, centered i think on the Orange. The opening is fresh and intense, with a subtle touch ofnthe petit grain giving a Green and creamy vibe to the fragance. In the dry down the perfume becomes very musky staying for Manu hours there, with a sexy and bit animalic character. This is one of the longest lasting citrusy perfumes i have ever tried, but i supposed that the fact of having a 48% of essence oils is one of the reasons why, and naturally also the great quality of the ingredients...
I recommend to all perfume lovers to try the perfumes from this brand. It is true that are not cheap but the quality is superb and they offer a sample set on their official web with a most affordable price...

Joy? Sorrow? Dense Nobility?
Actually, I don't like lemon, no, really not. But this Japanese citrus fruit (Yuzu) is something else: A long-lasting, wonderfully sour-fresh, citrus note is revealed by this Puredistance. And actually, it is a cross between Oceania (Roja) & Yuzu (Acqua di Parma)! The Acqua di Parma is certainly great, but the H/S is a complete disaster. The Aenotus is, moreover, in a whole different league, and I am always amazed when I smell it.

The citrus impression is accompanied by a density and complexity. And according to Puredistance, it has an incredibly high proportion of natural fragrance oils, which I always appreciate - because then the scent impression is constantly changing and exciting. A very subtle minty impression in the background is noticeable, a nice creaminess develops, perhaps due to the musk...? Direct or underlying scent impressions are definitely perceivable.

Those who appreciate Initio fragrances and want to lean towards Roja will find Aenotus to be a great choice. And to every nature lover who enjoys noble and elegant fragrance creations, this scent is highly recommended. But - a certain sadness also appears when wearing Aenotus: Here you realize what high perfumery art can achieve and be. And unfortunately, this is often lacking in many other houses. Joy and sorrow indeed…!

This is a heavy petitgrain scent, minty fresh. I don't believe price of the fragrance is justified as it smells more synthetic than natural.

Initially bright citric, this creamy spicy-green Spring fragrance slowly shifts to a slightly bitter earthy-woody base. Male-oriented.

One of the BEST citrusy scents i have ever tried. Orange bomb at opening which dries down into a sexy and delicate musk. For short distances

Sourly arranged citrus fruits with a peculiar sharpness. The strange chypre-like base with a greasy musk feel.

This is a statement: Citrus enhanced by Yuzu and Petitgrain, seasoned with a tablespoon of musk: for summer and winter!

An unconventional mix of citrus notes and herbal green notes on creamy musk. I just can't say I really like it.

Reminds me of citrus aromas and tart berry notes, a bit like the early works of Jean Laporte.
But in the base, pure boredom.

Herb-citrusy freshness :)
Woody notes & creamy musk in the base.
Interesting but feels more masculine to me ;)

Dream scent! Initially very zesty-fresh, then becomes balsamically warm. Reminds me of "L for Men" in the base, a bit too masculine for me.
