olfactory investment
"Black Goldskin" was a fragrance that came as a goodie in a swap package, and I had never heard of it before.
And I must admit that the "glitter stuff" in the liquid initially made me suspicious - could something have gone bad, and was I supposed to take care of the disposal?
With this negative mindset, I decided to consult Google first - and I still blush at the memory, because what I suspected to be sediment from a spilled fragrance turned out to be tiny 22-carat gold particles, which presumably aim to bring the gold to the (black?) skin.
Well, ahem.
Having already done the appearance of the vial liquid a disservice, it became clear immediately after spraying that the fragrance deserves much more attention than it has received so far.
Right from the start, dry fruity-spicy notes unfold with a light sweetness, which one usually experiences more in the heart note.
The spices are so finely intertwined that I cannot individualize them; however, to my nose, they clearly originate from the Arab world and blend wonderfully softly and harmoniously with the fruity aromas, soon opening the way for distinctly perceivable sandalwood.
I cannot identify the floral notes, but "Black Goldskin" now develops an irresistibly powdery depth on my skin.
At this level, the fragrance remains for quite a while, with musk and vanilla adding almost imperceptibly, giving the base a little more warm-soft tenderness.
Dreamily beautiful!
After two test days, I unfortunately cannot categorize the fragrance into the men's league at all, because "Black Goldskin" is a creation that will surely find many female admirers - not only on Schatzis' skin but especially on one's own.
In this respect, I would classify the fragrance much more as unisex.
However, there is a drop of bitterness: the longevity could be better; for me, the gold skin had already "peeled" after 4-5 hours.
