A scent that won't leave my mind...
I am not a fragrance expert and will hardly be able to convey a clear impression of the scent to you.
I discovered the fragrance at a musical (Dance of the Vampires), where the main actor wore it, and I (since I was lucky enough to sit in the front row) could catch a whiff of this scent every now and then. It fascinated me incredibly. It was a very heavy, woody scent, but it also had something slightly sweet about it, nothing floral or rosy, but it gave the fragrance its irresistible character.
I had never been interested in fragrances before, and I was surprised that I still had this scent in my nose days later.
After a long search and email correspondence with the theater, I finally had a lead and ordered the fragrance.
And now to the actual description:
At first, it smells as if you are standing in the middle of a forest. You can strongly smell the sandalwood and cedarwood, along with a hint of the sweetness of violets / lily of the valley. Only later, in hindsight, do the heavy woods come into play. The heavy mossy / woody base note can still be clearly detected even days later.
I have often sought advice in this direction, but none of the fragrances suggested to me were even remotely comparable to this one.
For example, 'Narciso Rodriguez - for him' was also very woody, but it lacked the sweetness.
In short, the fragrance is breathtaking to me and hard to describe if you haven't smelled it yourself.
