Sherberty green jasmine and hyacinth.
I have been using this perfume for around 4 weeks and find it versatile.

In its own right it is a bright hyacinth and sherberty green jasmine, just a touch of lemon juice. Musky and cedarwood, occasionally I pick up on a definite ylang ylang. I don't pick up on any of the fruit notes. A very tiny touch earthy. It doesn't turn powdery on me, doesn't develop any vanilla like or balsamic notes. Quite linear and straightforward it has garnered me quite a few approving comments.

It comes with a metal rollarball insert which doesn't dollop gushings of perfume. The bottle is a lovely green glass, the gold bits are plastic so I think this is from one of the cheaper Rasasi lines.

It layers beautifully under Aromatics Elixir, boosting the green notes of that scent which I like as I find the latest formula of Aromatics to have a little too much of some sort of artificail sweet rose.

Lasts at a reasonable strength for around 4 hours with a very soft dry down that lasts overnight. Not noticeably Arabian in design (compared with others I have tried and bearing in mind I wear these oils on more than half my perfume applications and almost exclusively in the summer).

Hyacinth and Sandalwod
Another Rasasi perfume from my collection that I wear very seldom since, although it has a touch of hya inth and some jasmine, the composition is flat and uninspiring.

Oriental-flavored floral soap - delicious!
The beginning of Romance is floral, soapy, green with a light smoky note and noticeable sweetness. I miss a bit of freshness here, but nonetheless, the opening is beautiful and multi-layered.

Shortly after, rose (tuberose?) and jasmine come into play. Together they create a pleasing, floral duo with a continued soapy note, but also a somewhat sultry, yet attractive one-dimensionality.

After a while, a somewhat penetrating raspberry appears on my skin, flanked by flowers and woods that smell rather balsamic-smoky to me, giving the scent depth and structure. I can't detect apricot and peach, but I also don't have a trained nose. Many hours later, the scent fades softly, but the raspberry refuses to yield and lingers for a while longer.

In the statements, a similarity to Tendre Poison by Dior is mentioned. Since TP was my signature scent for two decades, I can confirm this, although Romance clearly goes in a different, more oriental direction in its overall composition. Lovers of floral, soapy-sweet perfumes will enjoy this scent. Now and then, I satisfy my longing for Tendre Poison with Romance, but I wouldn't want to wear the perfume daily; it's too heavy for that.

The longevity is very good (easily 8 hours, more like 12), and the sillage is decent.

However, the bottle is, in my opinion, hideous: a golden plastic egg cup with a green glass egg and a golden plastic hat - all of this together looks rather cheap. Well, that's okay, Romance doesn't cost a fortune, but it smells significantly more valuable than the bottle and price would suggest.

Pleasant
"Romance" is a pleasant, agreeable fragrance for women. Since I don't know anything about Rasasi and cannot determine prices, I have no reference for the price-performance ratio and therefore cannot include that in my evaluation.
"Romance" opens with an aldehydic soapy note, floral, creamy, not too extravagant, but subtle. Nevertheless, the sillage has a gentle clarity. Those who enjoy creamy scents will find "Romance" to be a good choice. Rose and jasmine, along with presumably other flowers and fragrance materials, have formed a blend that makes none of the flowers individually recognizable to me. It does not smell solely of flowers. At no point does an animalic jasmine "speak"! As the fragrance develops, "Romance" lightly hints at spices that are not listed here. There is a very brief interlude of a green note, which merely transitions to the base.
The base components are balanced and so well intertwined that I only perceive a slightly gourmand, more resinous than woody quality. The fruits seem to be flavored with a resin, so "Romance" does not smell fruity. Upon reflecting on whether and where I could recognize the fruits, I come to the conclusion that they likely already scent together with the flowers in the heart note. The listed musk can only be the often-mentioned "white musk." "Romance" has no typical animalic musk scent like, for example, "Patou 1000" or "Rochas Femme," "Aubusson, Histoire." Thus, it is much lighter. In this fragrance blend, "Romance" remains very perceptible to me for a long time. A pleasant and effortless perfume. As aldehydic, understated, and long-lasting as "Romance" smells, and with the experiences I have had so far with extraits, I categorize it towards extrait.

In the oil, ylang ylang, hyacinth, musk and sandalwood are the stars. Jasmine, rose, apricot, and sandalwood make softer appearances.

A floral-soapy-raspberry-spicy (but not woody) overall composition. Not a substitute for Tendre Poison, but still really good.

Dior Tendre Poison nibbles on a rhubarb stalk and then washes its scent tentacles with proper soap. For me, it's 1000x more beautiful than TP!
