Hawas Black is the brother of Hacivat Nishane. I own both, and Hawas Black actually gives the same vibes and impression as Hacivat.

A citrusy opening of bergamot and grapefruit blended with smoky pineapple, followed by a woody scent and then oak moss that continues and overpowers.

It's hard to differentiate between the two fragrances overall; unless you own Hacivat, you will notice in the drydown the purity, uniqueness, and softness of the oakmoss note in Hacivat, but in Hawas Black it comes in a synthetic sharper form.

Hawas Black's performance is very distinctive and almost equal to the performance of Hacivat's older versions. It lasts for several hours, more than 6 hours, with a noticeable and strong performance that attracts compliments.

The fragrance is spring-summer, suitable for any time of the spring, but on very hot summer days it is preferable to use it in the late afternoon and summer evenings.

The most notable negative points I noticed:
- A harsh, somewhat annoying synthetic fragrance.
- The bottle design is glossy black and may leave fingerprints on it when held.
- The liquid inside the bottle is dark brown, which leaves dark marks and stains on clothes and skin upon use. Therefore, I advise using it from a distance away from the skin and never using it on white clothes.

Personal Rating: A fragrance for Hacivat lovers at a reasonable price and definitely worth a try.

The application of Hawas Black demands a certain reverence, a deliberate artistry that unveils its truest character. I have found that a precise distance of six inches from the skin—neither too near nor too far—allows this fragrance to unfurl with a grace akin to a flower in bloom, its notes cascading outward in harmonious diffusion. It is a curious omission, is it not, that such a fundamental detail—so pivotal to the fragrance’s expression—rarely graces the discourse of the olfactory community? Applied too closely, at five inches or less, the scent collapses into an oily, muddled veil, clinging stubbornly to the skin, its potential stifled within an hour.

Yet, when granted the space to breathe, Hawas Black reveals its splendor. The opening is a vivid proclamation of bergamot—crisp, radiant, and commanding—for a full hour, its citrus brilliance reigning supreme. As this initial flourish recedes, it yields to a tender interplay of notes: the sweet, succulent juiciness of pineapple entwines with the fading bergamot freshness, while the verdant, earthy whisper of oakmoss begins to rise. Patchouli, subtle yet assured, emerges to weave a thread of woodiness through the composition. Over time, the fragrance deepens, its tone growing warmer and more resonant, yet it retains an invigorating freshness, buoyed by the lingering pineapple and the diffusive embrace of ambroxan. From my 8/24 batch, it endures effortlessly for over eight hours, projecting boldly for two or more, with sillage that surpasses the ordinary.

Further acquaintance with this elixir reveals an even more remarkable tale. The union of that sweet, buoyant pineapple with the musky, enveloping drydown of ambroxan crafts a scent that is both jubilant and emboldening—a quiet surge of confidence that lingers on the skin for an astonishing eighteen hours. With just four measured sprays, the projection remains formidable for two hours, tapering to a medium, yet perceptible, sillage by the twelve-hour mark.

Hawas Black proves itself a masterful companion for layering, particularly when paired with Qaed Al Fursan. This combination elevates the pineapple to a luminous crescendo while softening the oakmoss into a mere whisper—an alchemy that delights the senses with its tailored finesse.

In its essence, Hawas Black is not merely a fragrance but a journey—an eloquent dialogue between skin and scent, precision and passion.

I’m torn about this fragrance. While it doesn’t smell anything like Absolu Aventus Creed, it shares a similar DNA with Supremacy Not Only Intense by Afnan, which is a clone of Hacivat Nishane. Hawas Black is essentially the dark, intense version. Honestly, I thought they couldn’t make it any darker, but they did. This fragrance is not for the faint of heart. It’s like a Red Cedar Oak Moss bomb; you only need a few spays, and it lasts forever, even after washing off your skin. I think it would be a great scent for the office, but don’t overdo it 3 sprays max. This perfume gives off a very masculine, ruggedness that is hard to find in most modern fragrances. You’ll smell like a man left in the middle of the woods with no supplies, but you’ll survive on your smell alone because you smell like nature. It reminds me of something one would wear as a power move to show their presence, similar to wearing Polo Green or Aramis.

When I tried it first two times, I found it very similar to Hacivat with a good performance. It was a fresh, earthy, and masculine scent. And there were no smokiness as SNOI has which was irritating me a bit.

Since Hacivat is one of my favorite perfumes, I wanted to have this one at a good price offer. However, after having it, my experience was not the same. I feel citrus with cedar wood in the opening but the dry down is not significant. The earthy vibes that I had in the tester have not come over again. My first rate was 9.0/10.0 but now, I would say 7.5/10.0 after wearing it 3 months.

I actually got this off the hype and it didn’t let me down. I’ve never put my nose onto Hacivat. I do detect that quite familiar Aventus like opening. But of course, instead of birch we get the synthetic musk and oak moss. Which I’m more than fine with.

People like to overplay the “I got compliments”. But for real, after having this on my weekly rotation for about a year now? I have gotten a few compliments from both men and women. Which is nice. I wear this as a work scent.

I work in my families pest control business and this is very pleasant to smell over a roach infested apartment. It’s like an oasis , thanks to Hawas giving us a heavy dose!

I Just got my 2nd bottle for $29 at Burlington. Serious I jumped on it with a swiftness and without a 2nd thought. Therefore I HIGHLY recommend this. I might buy a $200 bottle of Hacivat? But just going off how many reviews, across many sites attesting to HB’s closeness to the og and with a better performance? We’ll see.
