Roohy Tehebak Rasasi 2011

This is, dare I say a better version of Belle d’opium? I love the original Yve Saint Laurent offering but sadly it was discontinued. I took a chance on a bottle of this without testing as for the price point, I figured I had nothing to lose.
Not only is this an excellent copy but actually has more depth and plumminess!

Thank you Yalla for this wonderful fragrance that you sent me. I must say, I did not expect something so fruity, truly delicious, to be honest. Even when sniffing it, Roohy and I became friends. When Roohy was then on my skin and on my silk scarf, the friendship was complete. Hand in hand, we glided through the day, spent a night together, and she is so cool, cheeky, and has this beautiful berry note. Really absurdly delicious. I like it when it feels a bit fuller. When it emphasizes a note quite dominantly. Here, it is definitely the berry note that stands out the most. You can smell it from the very beginning. This is underscored by the peach. Smooth, beautifully the peach lingers in the scent and gives off a lovely warmth. A hint of incense runs through the perfume. Not strong. Rather a bit more reserved, yet still noticeable.

After a while, the smoky aspect comes into play. From here, it becomes more complete, the berries come together nicely, and the beautiful amber makes my soul do somersaults. Roohy suits me well. It ventures into steep slopes, is cute and mysterious at the same time.

However, there are no major developmental leaps. Roohy stays as it is. Fresh, cheeky, berry-like, full, mysterious, interwoven with a fine note of incense. Surrounded by amber and cheerful purple bears. Yes, the bottle, even though I don't have one with me, reminds me of good moods, even though it has this black net around it. Cheerful purple bear and cheeky net, reminiscent of something a bit wicked... A good combo, I would say!

The scent lasts on me for about seven hours, with the scent on the scarf not fading and settling in quite nicely.

The first thing I heard about this perfume was: "Come closer, you smell so fantastic like berries. And so full too!" I accepted the compliment with a smile. The second followed immediately.

When asked if the perfume must surely be very expensive, I had to grin for a moment. I checked on iparfumerie - not even €20. So very affordable, I must say. For what I get here, this is definitely a really successful perfume, with a nice depth, as Irini had already described before me. Moreover, it also has a very elegant feel, while still having such a cheeky nature that one could easily tease Roohy.
Roohy is suitable for late summer nights, as well as for autumn and walks. Wrapped in elegant clothing, Roohy makes a statement! And how!

Rasasi shows once again that good doesn't always have to be expensive.

As within, so without..
Chic packaging, beautiful bottle with a black tulle pattern
creates a mysterious impression...
I find it very fitting how the visual design reflects the content.

Unexpectedly, it smells deep and juicy of ripe black currants, which are given a mysterious character by slightly smoky and woody notes in the background.
Relatively quickly, in about 15 minutes, the scent begins to retreat in intensity, becoming somewhat hidden... like behind a veil.

There is no development in the scent; just as Roohy is at the beginning, so it is at the end.
Roohy is unsweetened, it also lacks any acidity... Hallelujah!
I like it very, very much! Elegant, refined, noble...
Roohy is present and rich at first, but quickly becomes intimate.
It must be due to my skin type.
It fades too quickly for me, soon becoming barely noticeable, just a hint on the skin.

I would love to wear Roohy during transitional times, e.g. from late summer to mid-autumn. For winter, in my opinion, it lacks endurance and strength,
which actually surprised me.
It could definitely be a bit longer-lasting, more present.

In social settings or at work, it won't be intrusive.
The mysterious, comforting feeling conveyed by Roohy fits best in leisure time, during cozy cuddly hours... or also for seduction.
Just make sure to stay close to the bottle.

As another interesting discovery in the Rasasi world, it is definitely worth a test!

The above fragrance pyramid reads like an olfactory, somewhat chaotic construction site. What’s bustling around here is quite contradictory in thought, even seems to "bite" each other!
"Pepper with citrus fruits"!!! Ouch-ouch!!
"Lilies and incense peach?"... just imagine THAT! Or, critically, "niche madness"... bright gardenia with dark patchouli-amber and myrrh-like clove notes!
It’s hard to believe that this presented perfume crescendo loses all its horror when SMELLING it, even mutates to actually please me!
For in this Rasasi lies the secret of oriental perfume art. My two "predecessors" were right about the berry! Indeed, I can detect black and red currant scents. There’s also a hint of the cool freshness of gardenia, which stands in beautiful contrast to the dark smoky and woody accents.
The bright, warm sun of the citrus fruits carries the evening shadow in its cool incense and pepper counterpoints. And earthy, cellar-like patchouli finds its counterpart in the balsamic myrrh. Everything "wafts," forming colorful veils, with violet leading the way, which is also reflected in the bottle. Ethereal blue can also be found here. As well as radiant white, deep black, and salmon... For beneath the predominantly somewhat rough "outer skin" lie delicate traces of musk and peach. This believed "fragrance stuff" has more to offer than what’s written.
Slightly offbeat, yet by no means chaotic. Good niche WITHOUT madness :-))

Roohy Tehebak starts off feeling very melancholic to me, which is due to the lily. The flower of sorrow and farewell. This bittersweet lily note plus pepper are the most prominent for me. After a few minutes, the fragrance develops a beautiful creamy berry note. Blackcurrant, peach, and pepper plus labdanum as known from Tesories Byzantinum. Not a scent for everyone. It reminds me most strongly of my beloved discontinued Sensual Jil! Berry, oriental, spicy fragrance that really comes into its own in the cold season and gains radiance. Black coat, black over-the-knees, violet scarf, and porcelain complexion. I would definitely wear it from the end of October.
