A lost giant.
My aunt wore Intimate. In fact, I ran across a bottle on her vanity. She wore it at my uncle's funeral and not since. She used it when they dated.
The bottle is hefty and attractive. It had to be from the early to mid 1960s. It packs a wallop of animalic notes the like of which could be attributed to the extinction of the species of those little critters. Did I mention a truckload of flowers in each bottle? It also contains the fluorocarbon gas that was later banned. It's just as potent as I recall. I also had a grade schoolteacher who used this. It is very recognizable, even if you had no idea what it was...
Think the 1950s formal world with its tight waistlines, pearls, red lipstick and tall heels. It is an ice princess and perfect for Joan Crawford. The rose is big as well as the animalic notes. A bit like Joy with its warmth. It was inexpensive yet had quality ingredients. Later, La Nuit would enter its seductive command. If you do not like civet, bypass this one. This is definitely a mid-century masterwork!
Charlie replaced it, yet it cannot be forgotten. It had more grace than Charlie yet lacked discretion. Intimate? Not really...More like BULLHORN!!!
