A Creamy Summer Day
Rituals...not every woman likes it, as it is quite unique and green.
A friend gifted me shower foam for my birthday, which smelled like the sea.
My mother happened to have a voucher from D. left over and couldn’t use it for anything.
So I enjoyed it and treated myself to a new purchase.
In the opening, I perceive something citrusy...it must be orange and bergamot from the described top notes, paired with a creamy lightness. However, the initial citrus scent quickly fades and transitions into a creamy-green. I can only detect the mint with difficulty. If it weren’t listed in the fragrance pyramid, I wouldn’t have noticed it at all.
The scent lasts well throughout the day and reminds me of the sea. I really like the fragrances from Rituals. They lean towards natural scents, which makes them so special. A light floral note accompanies the gentle creaminess (soapy smells different), without being intrusive or candy-sweet. This makes the scent feminine, but not too clichéd or ordinary.
It smells clean to me..
In short, the fragrance doesn’t shout; rather, it’s like a mild summer breeze that makes you want to turn around and take another sniff.
