Nessun dorma
My friend kindly brought Rituals to my attention - and I found several of them appealing.

I was particularly drawn to the Night in Marrakech, as this gentle oriental fragrance wrapped me around its finger.
Unfortunately, I couldn't convince my husband - even though a 30% discount sticker was stuck on the boxes.
At least I got the pretty 20ml bottle for a reasonable 9.90.

No, my husband claimed his wallet was made of onion leather - and it made him cry.

He pulled me away from the Rituals corner, just like my grandma used to drag me out of the candy shop.

But I took the soft nighttime scent with me on my wrist.

Images of a starry sky with a silver full moon appeared before my eyes.
But the colorful bazaar is still bustling with activity.
Wordy trading thrives even under the cover of night, and mild saffron mixed with aromatic tea delights my nose.
Exotic flowers attract me - presented on precious wooden tables.
Velvety eyes gaze at me, and I am handed a bottle of the finest patchouli.
Accompanied by the sound of a language unfamiliar to me.

No one sleeps, no one is tired. Nessun dorma. A night full of life.
Ah ...

The next day, my husband is redeemed, and he starts again with me into the department store.

But the German retailers were also active at night - because the discount stickers had disappeared - and the travel-sized bottles had risen to 14.99.

I look deeply into my husband's eyes and say: Nessun dorma.

Woody, spicy, and vibrant. A masculine women's perfume
I really find it very, very hard to describe this scent, but for me, it is truly a really great fragrance, to put it bluntly. It is woody and (yes, that word doesn't exist) nightingale-like... I find it heavy and light at the same time. It has something fresh about it. I can't explain it for the life of me.

All I know is... I love this scent. It is indeed more masculine, but not masculine enough for a man. And at the same time, it is quite dominant. I perceive the scent all day long. My colleague does too. I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. That's why I think it is quite good in terms of longevity.

Overall, I strongly associate the scent with the night. Whether it's necessarily Marrakech, I don't know, because I've never been there. But I do find the scent to be oriental. In my opinion, one of the best fragrances from Rituals.

Moldy Corner in the Orient
My predecessor has captured it quite well.
I have no clue what Marrakech smells like, but this scent would simultaneously chase me away and yet hold me there.
I am more torn than ever...
It has something musty, animalistic, earthy.
So not at all oriental, as one would imagine such bazaars.
Something that I find absolutely unappealing, and yet it draws me in.
Something special unfolds on my skin.
Maybe something woody that is reminiscent of the Orient?!
But it clings to me for nearly the entire day.
The longevity is thus good... too good.
Now, the thing is that everyone perceives scents differently and they unfold on each person's skin in their own way.
But I can't detect any citrus no matter how hard I try.
I think I need to go to Rituals again, apply the scent alone, and then decide.
On that test day, I also wore 3 other fragrances on my wrists and inner elbows.
That surely didn't do the scent any favors.
Otherwise, I see it more on men or women who are not overly feminine.

Which corner of Marrakech smells like this?
It's a shame that the first comment on this fragrance is a negative one - after all, there are already some testers/owners who liked the scent, but unfortunately, no one was willing to write anything...

If you think of all the wonderful, oriental fragrances found in a typical bazaar when you think of Marrakech, you are unfortunately mistaken here. No worries, there are still the notes of the great fragrance pyramid, amber, mimosa, cashmere wood... Oh no, I can't perceive those either. Everything is overshadowed by an overkill of sandalwood combined with cedar and something intrusive, piercing... what could that be?!

Maybe my nose and this fragrance just don't get along, for me this night in Marrakech is a mix of old man Eau de Toilette (don't get me wrong, I know there are old men with style and a good sense of smell) and a cold bath. Yes, exactly, that piercing note could be pine, and a bit of eucalyptus might also be involved. Definitely more suitable for men than for women and certainly not a crowd-pleaser where you don't have to worry about offending anyone...

A lovely soft lush soapy mimosa for mimosa lovers.

I don't smell anything Oriental here, no Marrakech bazaar, but a lot of fruit, wood, tea, flowers, and synthetic notes. Nice, but simple.

I want to wear this scent under towering palms on the beach. Frangipani, mimosa, and dish soap citrus notes create a fantastic summer fragrance.

A night in Marrakech suggests a different essence.
However, it's a wonderful citrusy, pleasant tea scent for the quiet moments in your mind.

Great tea scent, definitely unisex. Clean, warm, slightly woody, not too overpowering. Good longevity here as well.

Beautiful, understated scent. Floral, spicy with a hint of tea. Not bad, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

Fresh, woody, herbal. Pleasant, relaxing scent. In my opinion, absolutely unisex. Longevity and sillage are rather moderate.

The start reminds me of Boss Bottled with a diffuse musky cloud. Penetrating synthetic cedar dominates the drydown. No Marrakech.

Soft, woody, long-lasting. Thankfully no sweetness but a spicy bitterness, you have to like cedar, and gradually floral musk comes through.

Nose into the tobacco tin, then sipped on tea. First very soapy-old school, then nostalgic cleanliness with an unsweet presence. I really like it.
