Silk bed-linen

This scent means the finest level of rose compositions for me. ROSE PERFECTION differs almost in 100% from e.g. creations of Les Parfums de Rosine. It comes near to tea + rose scents, without tea. I do not know, how could Aurélien Guichard tamed rose so much. No edges, no scratch, no aridity, nor sloppiness.

ROSE PERFECTION is a gift of wedding. This scent is the pale violet silk bed-linen on the love-bed, womanly, clean, new. Almost innocent, and young. Natural and its fabric is very similar to a cover. The whole perfume is totally smooth, refined and elegant. Base is almost creamy.

It does not change much, and lasting power is average.
The fragrance is stronger than I would expect from such a tame and polite perfume.

Perfection indeed

Rose absolute stars in the heart of this new fragrance from the House of Robert Piguet. Aurélien Guichard created a precious and seducing fragrance. Looking at the ingredients list, I first thought it might not deliver and was afraid it could be "boring" - but no, it's blissfully intriguing. We are now witnessing an exciting resurgence of rose fragrances - and fortunately, the scents are becoming bold again, reclaiming classic, very potent notes that were not fashionable since the 1980's. "Rose Perfection" is a warm, sensual rose balanced with a seductive, beautiful musk and a touch of ambroxan. I wouldn't call this fragrance experimental or edgy, but it is rather audacious in terms of volume. This said, it is a beautifully rounded, unusual rose-fragrance I'd gladly wear or call my own. If you're looking for a scent with a kind of sensibility and complexity which is soft and powerful at the same time, give "Rose absolute" a try.
