The Dry, Big Brother of…?
Here I am again, pondering the meaning of this fragrance phenomenon.
Has the well-known industry salami struck again, which continuously increases the manufacturers' profits slice by slice from a product portfolio while emptying the buyers' pockets to their detriment?
After the test of Derby, which already dealt me a blow, I was extremely curious about the new promising creation from the house.
Definitely, this appearance is not necessarily my highlight, with the softly smoky opening that slowly glides into the rose and the musky caramel undertone.
When I’m out and about, whether at work or in my free time, people usually stop and sniff what you’re wearing when it comes from Roberto’s house…. Sometimes you even get approached, but this time it was a yawning emptiness, although I certainly am not out hunting for compliments.
I perceive this scent as a dry adult evolution of Maison Margiela - By the Fireplace. I can’t for the life of me figure out why, maybe the smoke paired with the vanilla?
I don’t think this one will receive waves of enthusiasm from the fanbase, as the performance leaves much to be desired. Is this the Extrait? Yes…..
If 17 Rosso is too loud for you, you might want to try this one, although the scents have little in common.
And once again, proof that sometimes less in the perfume cabinet can indeed be more ;)
