In the Orange Laundry…..
Well, what can I say, this is one of the few fragrances I was looking forward to this year. At the same time, of course, there was a kind of tension about whether it would be a hit or a flop.
To my surprise, after my Air Tiger disappointment, I cautiously tuned in before shopping at M.G. again, and it was indeed a pleasant experience :)
The spray head distributes the thick liquid generously and precisely; well… with such a high concentration of fragrance oil, that can be mentioned…
A floral mist opens up like stepping into a well-stocked flower shop, slightly sweet and stuffy. A few minutes later, a soapy note joins in, which for me, as someone who is not fond of soapy scents, is not overpowering.
As time goes on, the sweet and fruity notes emerge. But it’s not a Neroli bomb; rather, it’s subtle.
A quarter to half an hour later, a gentle underlying woodiness with creamy influences comes through, and indeed… it smells a bit like fabric softener. Probably due to the combination of jasmine, rose, and lily of the valley…
But this actually makes the fragrance composition quite likable. It is supported by a hint of bitterness, which reminds me of Air Tiger, but appears much more wearable.
As I bring my nose closer to the sprayed area, which doesn’t shine with an excessively high oil content… seriously, no joke, how do they do that???... the fabric softener vibe kicks in and reveals a lovely orange.
Even after four hours, I can say it hasn’t lost intensity. This is great for someone who likes to stand out, and above all, this is a winner in terms of price/performance. It’s not the price per ml at €2 that matters, but the quality delivered that makes the fragrance wearable for many years. This is simply attractive in terms of pricing and worth mentioning for me, someone who doesn’t write reviews often. ;)
Thus, I must conclude that this summer fragrance is indeed worth more than just creating another hype, in my opinion.
Spray and enjoy!
