Not the right hammam code
Tesori d'Oriente scents are very affordable and I bought this one unsniffed, because I had hoped for a fragrance capturing the spirit of the famous Turkish bath ("hammam"). Unfortunately, this spray reminds me of "Armani Code", and "Armani Code" is a scent I don't relate to the genuine "hammam" (the way I experienced it).

Dominant notes in this product are: clementine, jasmine, orange blossom and argan oil.
The drydown is very artificial, with a bit of cheap wood and vanilla. Staying-power is average. Not my favourite from the Tesori d'Oriente line.

Carpe diem (a short moment of pleasure)
Life is like some scents: you must enjoy the moment and smell immediatley the better notes before they pass by.
I don't want to make philosophical speeches, but this reflexion went to my mind smelling this perfume, as good as evanescent.
I usually love all the fragrances by Tesori d'Oriente, an Italian brand making very good products at very affordable prices and with selected ingredients. I am a "serial collector" of all the fragrance of the range.
Although they could seem a little synthetic, the sillage is usually good , expecially for the warmer and spicier scentes. But Hmmam is an exception: it's a "carpe diem" and a wonderful but too short trip to the middle eastern atmospheres.
The opening neroli note is involving, round and very pleasant and feminine, if you close your eyes you can recognize almost the same bouquet you can find in the famous and expensive "Cinema" by Yves Saint Laurent.
The citrusy accents too are very fizzy and give a lively touch to this bouquet. Unfortuantely the base is almost non-existent. the light vanilla- musky notes I perceived the moment I sprayed the scent stepped evaporated after a few seconds leaving only a pale memory on my skin. I must confess that I was a little disappointed. However,I bought anyway this perfumed because the 100ml one size was on sale at 2,99€!
Last but not least, the nw bottle is nicier than the old: it's black with copper-couloured oriental decorations and , as all the fragrance of the line, is very easy and perfect to be kept in your bag for a refreshing moment whenever you want. I recommend this little pleasure mainly in the good season, by day as well as in the hottest nights for its light sillage.

Powerscent
Perfume with an extremely strong presence, and notes reminiscent of hammam baths.
Longevity and sillage far above average.
Good for those who like the notes left on the skin, or it will be an invitation to the hara-kiri.

Oriental, sweet and floral aromas that last and last, like a Duracell.

As well as the price of this perfume (a real bargain), the bottle also has a cheap, aluminum look.

Abduction to the Garden of the Seraglio
As a sauna-goer after exercising and through several wellness weeks at my pampering hotel in Baden-Baden, I naturally had to try a hammam.
I love the warmth, the tranquility, and hands that stimulate my skin and thus my senses with a soap brush or glove.
Afterward, I feel not only relaxed but clean inside and out!

So I arranged to go to the women's hammam with a friend; in Berlin-Kreuzberg, that's no problem. Packed with everything a woman (especially afterward) needs, we arrived there.
And I was allowed to leave right after paying: from a plastic flower sprayer, the very lemon scent was sprayed that regularly makes me leave the bio-sauna at the gym at lightning speed.
My sauna ladies already laugh at that, and even the moment of recognition is enough to make me cough, sneeze, and cry.
I couldn't escape the hammam facilities that quickly; my friend's "feathers" and those of the staff had to be smoothed first; that took some time.
I spent the rest of Sunday, my face resembling a red-speckled crumb cake, with tablets at home after I had already made my way back to the subway in tears.
I must have looked quite pathetic during that, as a woman asked me if I needed help. No, it was that lemon oil-water mixture!
So "Bye bye Hammam"!

But the original thought doesn't let me go: to dive into the embrace of dense clouds of steam once and surrender completely to it.
To float relaxed on a soft, delicious cloud of scent, under which everything becomes small and insignificant!

"Hammam" by Tesori d'Oriente gives me an impression of what it could be like.
A stroll through a beautifully designed courtyard of a seraglio, surrounded by the soothing aroma of mandarins, lemons, and delicate blooming almond trees, sun, soft light, and tranquility.
The senses begin to purr softly here; everything uneven, stressful, and unfriendly in life retreats offended - leaving behind pleasant joy in silence!
The scent of delicate orange blossom caresses the heart, leading further into a "between world" that is soothing.
The heaviness of jasmine flowers, which not only adorn the bushes but also cover the surface of a large water basin, fits wonderfully.
From somewhere, soft music from flutes and harp can be heard: it is time to let go and surrender completely, it beckons! Time to dive into oneself, to listen to oneself!
Vanilla and (white?) musk are ideal travel companions on this journey into warmth, scent, and a great, loving embrace!
A light, well-measured woody note (reminiscent of damp wooden garden/terrace furniture after rain) naturally belongs here before amber closes this circle of delicate, heart and soul pampering fragrance notes.
A gentle floating of the senses and simply joy envelops me.

With this "Hammam," woven from delicate-colored scent threads and declaring "well-being" and "relaxation" as its program, an restless, little joyful day comes to an end.
It glides, with the help of this skillfully and sensitively composed fragrance being, into a calm, protected evening.
The longevity of this airy little elf is not designed for a long night; night owls are not hindered from re-spraying if needed.
I use "Hammam" by Tesori d'Oriente, a truly oriental treasure, also as a so-called "pillow spray."
A few spritzes of it on the pillow and also in the hair prepare a lovely path to dreamland.
This time, the Sandman also has the right, finely sparkling sand; in recent weeks, he accidentally always brought the bag of pebbles: how uncomfortable and unrelaxed my nights were!

"Hammam" offers the possibility of an excursion into a world that somewhat resembles 1,001 and transports you to the sun- and scent-drenched gardens of the Alhambra or an oriental seraglio.
Where even the illusion of softly splashing water has been wonderfully captured.
Those seeking simple joy for the senses will surely find it in this delicately colored scent watercolor.
"Hammam" is nothing grand, exciting - it is tender, quiet, and very lovable!

Steam Bath?
Ah yes, a hamam. As a Turk, one inevitably ends up in a hamam at some point, whether one wants to or not. Because even as a child, you are taken there by fathers and uncles. As a child, a hamam is quite strange. You see how the adults completely relax while the children try to run away from the overwhelming heat as quickly as possible.
I also have rather funny memories from my childhood in such steam baths, as I always sought out the cold water corner with a cousin to cool off. We did this by continuously pouring cold water over our heads until our fathers dragged us to the bathmaster, who scrubbed us down with a rough glove, the peeling… or "Kese," as we call it in Turkish.

Yes, those were funny times back then, but I can't remember a hamam smelling like this fragrance here.

The scent:
The beginning is citrusy-fruity. You can smell orange blossoms and sweet oranges. The latter are the stronger notes. Gradually, jasmine joins in, making the scent both a bit more floral and sweeter. Over time, the fragrance becomes softer and warmer.
Well, and that's it for the scent description. There are no further fragrance notes, and the scent doesn't really develop much either. However, it doesn't smell bad.

The longevity and sillage:
In terms of longevity, the scent is below average and lasts between four and five hours.
The sillage is subtle but not necessarily close to the body. It will be noticeable to others, but one shouldn't expect too much.

The bottle:
Even though the bottle looks like an aluminum deodorant can, the bottles from Tesori d’Oriente usually have very nice designs. With Hamam, you see exactly what one can imagine under the term. An oriental steam bath. But the more common variant seems to be the darker bottle, which has golden, stylized vine patterns, which also looks quite nice and seems to be the more current version.

So, as I already said, I don't think the scent smells like a hamam. However, it could be that the baths for women might smell like this with fragrant soaps, etc. So, I'm not sure, after all, I had no access to the women's section…

However, the scent is a nicely made and pleasant fragrance, which is not unisex but might be more intended for women. Wearable in practically all seasons, an all-rounder, with tendencies towards spring and summer. I can recommend a test, even a purchase, as you really can't go wrong with less than 10 euros.

On my skin I smell mainly the orange blossom notes and the amber at the base. Pleasant and affordable.

Citrusy-sweet start that reminds you of a sauna infusion.
Unfortunately, the longevity isn't great. After 1 hour, it has relaxed away.

*ORANGE BLOSSOM IN YOUR FACE* Intense. Probably not my scent direction. Homeopathic dosing makes it more bearable.

In this hammam, it smells like Cinéma Eau de Parfum and Nimm2 candies. It develops wonderfully in high temperatures.

Cheeky little citrus fruits bounce around the orange blossom and jasmine, diving into the vanilla-musk bed with flair. Good vibes to spray!
