Under the Art Clouds
Oh dear - what have I done to myself today while testing? I thought that anyone who depicts a sketch of a portable tape recorder on their bottle must have serious intentions with the scent. Or at least intentions so cheerful that one can chuckle about it.
Mistake - because Nuvola Talcata, which can be roughly translated as "Powder Cloud," rather puts a shameful question mark on one's face. The opening is a severe challenge, as the overly sweet, artificially sounding rose evokes associations with a cheap fragrance that one might pick up at a gas station. It's quite dreadful.
At least the rose becomes somewhat darker and more mature as it develops, making it more forgivable, but the promised talcum powder holds back far too much. Even the hint of white musk, which definitely does not come from the natural world, can’t change that.
For a powder scent, Nuvola Talcata is far too rosy, and for a rose scent, it initially feels too artificial or cheap and later too generic. Considering the price of over €100 for 100 ml of Eau de Parfum, one could expect something more authentic. Or maybe not?
