Challenge in Advent: On the Way to "My" Vanilla Scent - December 6, 2019
So today it's this fragrance's turn. The bottle makes a pretty impression on me, simple yet somehow romantic. The scent is just as much.
It is a truly simple, yet beautiful fragrance. I wouldn't classify it as a classic vanilla scent. The coconut note is not only at the absolute forefront in the fragrance pyramid. It also carries itself that way. At the beginning, only coconut can be detected, a delicate, sweet coconut note that I don't find as artificial as in other coconut fragrances. The fact that it comes across as sweet and lively may be due to the fruits that it connects with in the most pleasant way. Even in the top note, coconut remains present, but actually a hint of vanilla sneaks in here, creating a very pleasing harmony. Thus, the fragrance has nothing tropical, it doesn't evoke a vacation feeling, but it is also far from a wintry vanilla note. This composition is most comparable to a coconut macaroon, where cinnamon has been replaced by vanilla. A soft, delicate coconut cloud that feels natural and perfectly adapts to its wearer envelops me and lasts quite a long time, about five hours. It is very discreet and pleasant.
For all those who find typical coconut fragrances too loud, here awaits a fine delicacy that plays as a background melody.
