Smoldering Sandalwood
In order to win the heart of the Gurjun tree, an appropriate place in the tree must be cut out and a fire must be made in the resulting cave. The heat then causes the smoky-woody-scented resin to dissolve and can be collected. The scent is deeply soothing, with very slight green, coniferous tree inclusions in a warm dark brown.
The combination with sandalwood as a balsamic scent relative and also other woods is wonderfully successful and very harmoniously woven with the Gurjun's own DNA. Patchouli complemented with a beautiful, moist earthy note.
All in all, it is a very successful, earthy, smoky, woody scent, which is not at all reminiscent of campfire, but of smouldering sandalwood
