Dates nestled on a sweet honey-tonka base

I have been interested in the fragrances from The House of Oud in Italy for a long time. On one hand, because of these beautiful bottles and on the other hand, due to the many sweet scents that the brand offers. Now, the first of this brand has landed in my collection: Dates Delight. A highly hyped fragrance that has great success in the community, and I think it will undoubtedly be the bestseller of this brand. It must be said clearly that this fragrance DNA always appeals and you can't go wrong with it. It's not really mind-blowing anymore if you've been testing/buying niche fragrances for a long time and are already familiar with this direction like Khaltat Night Eau de Parfum / Oajan. It's a direction that you encounter quite often. The honey note also slightly leans towards the Honey Aoud or Shaghaf Oud Azraq Eau de Parfum direction. Even though some influences from well-known fragrances are present, this one is largely independent and absolutely worth it. Hype usually doesn't lie, and here you get a fragrance that the masses will already love.

In terms of price, the RRP of €220 for 75ml might be a bit high, but there are already some offers with good discounts. Overall, this is still a great choice, as these bottles are a feast for the eyes and artistically top-notch in the niche world: The bottles come in an egg-like shape, which has been hand-painted. The fragrance is housed in this egg and stands on a golden lid. A bottle that excites and beautifies any niche collection. The packaging is also very stylish in this elegant box.
From the scent, you get this soft-sweet-gourmand note similar to what you find in Oajan. It's not a fragrance that takes your breath away, but rather a soft, sensual DNA that performs very well. The main character in the title is the date. It's quite noticeable, but it's already a balanced creation of gourmand notes, light spice, a bit of oriental vibes, and sweet notes like honey. This creation shines best in the autumn/winter, but it works well throughout the year as evening approaches. The date note starts off well and is accompanied by cinnamon spice and all sorts of sweetness like caramel, tonka bean, and a very nice honey note. A soft coumarin note also plays a role in the first hours, making this creation even softer. All the notes are perfectly harmonized, and this overall picture is simply harmonious. Oriental notes also play a subtle role through the date combined with delicate rose and gentle oud, which doesn't quite compete with the sweetness. The honey note is extremely cozy and gives it a wonderful warmth. In the base, balsamic and slightly resinous notes of labdanum and benzoin come in, perfectly rounding off this base. From start to finish, I have nothing to criticize, and I don't detect any off notes. A fragrance that perfectly embodies this theme, and there will hardly be any enemies. High-end quality for both ladies and gentlemen.
Performance is above average, as you can still perceive this fragrance well after 10 hours. I can absolutely recommend it if you're looking for a stylish, sensual scent, as this sillage is perfectly balanced. It's always well beyond skin close, but in an elegant range. A worry-free package if you enjoy gourmand-sweet-spicy fragrances.

In conclusion, I can say: A wonderful fragrance with a dreamy bottle. For me, this well-known theme has also reached perfection here. Additionally, you get a unique date note. For me, one of the safest blind buys ever if you like this type of fragrance.
