Chimney cake

Smelling this perfume closely on skin reminds me of Mancera Red Tobacco. At first I was very disappointed since I already own Red Tobacco. But when I smelled it in air everything changed. For all the Hungarians out there this smells like a cinnamon chimney cake(fahéjas kürtöskalács). It is sweet fromt he honey, spicy from the cinnamon, almost gourmand territory. I would definitely recommend giving this a try especially around december, close to the holidays. It definitely has Christmas vibes.

A honey that doesnt last

Initial spray is very delish. It doesnt smell synthetic either which is surprising for a honey scent. If only the honey were long lasting because sadly, within 10-15 mins it disappears and all you smell is a very generic men's cologne. Its certainly not bad its just very very boring. The dry down almost resembles a cheap eau de toilette from the local drug store. I suggest before purchasing this let it sit on your skin for 20-30 mins then you get an idea what this fragrant is all about. The intial spray is impressive which is what led me to immediately purchase it. But its also misleading in that the honey COMPLETELY disappears shortly after. I tried this on my friends too just to check if the perfume perhaps wasnt syncing with my skin in particular but noppeeee. The honey note vanishes quickly on them too. I was so disappointed in honey aoud that I ended up selling it at a low price just to get rid of it quickly. Definitely not recommended if you think you be smelling like honey all day long.

Honey yes sir.

Oh where do I start with this gem, I know where I can start by saying this is my favorite Montale so far. It starts with a sweet honey note, with just enough spices and oud playing nice in the background. Not a blind but your fragrance because if you are not used to niche your type fragrances, then you might not like it. But it's a true love for me....

Montale honey aoud

I understand why some people love this. however for me, simply all I get is a very dense, syrupy honey with a very slight undertone of cinnamon. I don't get any oud, patchouli, foral, leather. However, I can give credit where it is due, it is a monster in performance. the density of this fragrance is a turn off for me, but if that's your thing, I highly recommend this, and even consider it a safe blind buy.

This is the only way I like my honey fragrances, it’s striking and unexpected, slightly intoxicating, but not overwhelming, quite universal too, great for colder months but you can use it on a cool summer night. The quality you get for the price is very good, it lasts until you shower, stays on clothes until you wash them, the projection is insane too, perfection.
