Well, what can I say? You definitely can't go wrong if you buy Versace Eros as a party fragrance. The bottle alone is, in my opinion, very attractive and looks good in any collection. The scent is fresh/sweet thanks to the mint note at the beginning, and later on, I perceive more vanilla and vetiver. I unfortunately find the top note to be the best part of the fragrance, which is why it only excites me for a short time. After that, I find it quite basic. Longevity and sillage are good; the person next to you will certainly notice the scent - which I consider a positive.
Regarding the downsides of Versace Eros:
These are less about the fragrance itself but are almost equally significant for me.
I work in a large German city in a field where I frequently come into contact with partygoers. When I first tested the fragrance, associations from my professional life immediately came to mind. Unfortunately, not the best ones. I perceive Versace Eros as the scent you get when you gather 10 partygoers in a closed room. Whether it's because one person is wearing it and it stands out so much that you can only smell that one, or if it's just a mix of all the youthful party scents, I can't say for sure. What is clear, however, is that you feel like you've smelled this fragrance a thousand times before, and it simply doesn't evoke any positive vibes for me (certainly also due to my profession).
To summarize and express it as objectively as possible: A good fragrance that excels mainly in terms of performance and price/performance ratio, but radiates zero uniqueness and is rather mainstream. Suitable for young partygoers to smell good for a long time, but in my opinion, it won't stand out from the crowd.
