Woods to share (at an affordable price!)

This one is another wonderful scent created by the Zara brand. Fresh and juicy at the opening (I smell on my skin mainly the mate note) it becomes warmer after a few seconds revealing the cedarwood note and the ambrette base. I didn't smell the ambroxan, and if it appears in the pyramid, it is very light and not at all bitter or medicinal.
The ensemble is a light woody symphony, pleasant and not heavy, perfect for women and men. A fragrance to share, with an average sillage, maybe perfect in September, when it is still quite hot but you see the tree's leaves become yellow and red and all the colors of nature seem warmer.
A fragrance easy to wear in its very elegant bottle with the stone-shaped cap, reminding the one of the Armani privé collection....but with an important difference: the very affordable price! Unfortunately, this fragrance is part of a seasonal collection and it will be discontinued. What a pity... I love it so much!

How do they do it...?

Zara, the brand caught my eye here and I browsed through the various comments and statements. However, at that moment, I had just ordered some fragrances again, so I forbade myself from looking at Zara's homepage. But the seed had fallen on fertile ground...

Some time later, I ordered 6! fragrances from Zara, I was delighted by the price and sure that there would be something to complain about, cheap bottles, poor longevity, or worse, the scents smell like synthetic cheapies. On the other hand, Zara employs perfumers like Carlos Benaim, Nathalie Lorson, Alberto Morillas...

Accord No. 3, Woody. A lot of wood - I have issues with wood, I often perceive woody scents very faintly, in the worst case not at all. But the reviews here and on Fragrantica spoke for themselves. Now I've picked up the package, 2 days delivery time - this is starting off well. And what really delighted me was that the large package had a handle for easy transport. Some manufacturers could take a cue from this.

The scent starts like a fresh breeze, as if I were taking a deep breath in strong wind, ozonic is the right word. And I can actually smell wood, damp sawdust. There’s also a slight tea note, it’s supposed to be mate. For me, as a coffee lover, it’s simply black tea, but only brewed briefly, light gold in color. It blooms only a little, but it greens more, the spice is subtle. Musk and a barely resinous note round it off, and the scent lingers for quite a while.

Accord No. 3 Woody is not a loud blockbuster, rather elegantly restrained, ideal if you don’t want to stand out with your scent, but perhaps with good manners or something like that. You really have to get closer to perceive the scent. The longevity is surprisingly good, currently 6 hours, now fading. The bottle, by the way, leaves nothing to be desired, well-crafted, quite heavy, looks appealing and expensive - how do they do it? 100 ml for 15.95… And of course, this scent is not just for women!

I find that I am quite taken with this scent and look forward to the next tests from the Zara team, I will report back.

Oh man! Don't be biased 'cause it's sold as a women scent. If you like Gucci pour Homme II, you'll love this rare gem. Men, dare and try it!

At the first spray it could smell like a scent for man, but after a few minutes the acchord becomes softer and pleasant. Affordable price.

Now there's also a Zara that leans towards Gucci PH II. A harmonious unisex scent that invites relaxation. The bottle is also impressive.

Considering the price-to-quality ratio, it’s a great scent. Tea, wood, floral notes, and fruity freshness. It doesn’t come off as feminine as expected.
