Delicate flowers, dominant berries
Sometimes you try out a fragrance and wonder what the perfumer wanted to achieve. Then one inquires about the composition and the "Hm?" becomes an "Aha!". This is how I feel with Tuberose Summer - the intention of the creator is easy to understand, but the result leaves a lot to be desired.
The start of the perfume is tremendous: loud, squeaky-sweet currant, which unfortunately comes along quite artificially, and a lot of heavy tuberose. For me as a great friend of heavy, lush tuberose fragrances, the latter is the highlight of the fragrance. The floral note is dominant, but surprisingly natural and soft.
The currant should probably give the tuberose its "buzzing touch", but this is exactly where the problem lies: instead of a veil of fruity sweetness, the berry lies over everything like a tough fruit sauce. What a pity, because the fragrance would have potential.
Sillage and durability are still ok, even if the durability leaves a lot to be desired. But since it is a favorable scent, it is bearable.
