Invictus vibe

I own this one AND Zara Seoul 532-8. Through my nose they both have the Invictus DNA. Seoul 532-8 is the weaker one of these two and has a longevity of 2hours on my skin.
This one (Zaran Man Blue Spirit) I would say is a bit stronger and lasts about 3-4h on me. BUT, sometimes i feel like it smells like a hybrid of Invictus and Invictus Aqua (but more powdery in the dry down), and sometimes it really reminds me of Invictus Intense.

Anyway, i believe it is a really nice scent, it has the Invictus DNA, but it is not Invictus. A safe blind buy if you like Invictus.

Have we ever met before?

Zara Man Blue Spirit, according to my sense of smell, is tremendously alike to Zara EST 1975 Denim Couture, thus another replica of Paco Rabanne Invictus or any of its flankers.

It opens with a big hit of citrus and minty-like aroma, with a blast of sweet'n sour from the very first notes.
So intricate and intense, it mixes the "new freshness" together with ambroxan. The sensation it creates is animalic, fruity, kind of like dark fruits; many male fragrances nowadays add that fruity note which pushes them in the realm of contemporaneity where more sweetness and roundness is sought. Lavender in all its aromatic shining if present.

After a few minutes it mellows into a sweeter, delicate, almost floral scent, a bunch of delicate white flowers. The heart is aromatic, and even though not mentioned, I bet it contains a kind of jasmine, maybe hedione to empower it.

In a further stage of its development, the scent start to meld with the skin, and ZBS lets out more nuances of guaiac wood, patchouli, oak moss and powdery ambergris. The latter is quite prominent, contributing with a sense of dried fruits.

The longevity is super, 10 and more hours. Unfortunately, the sillage is excellent, either. After so many hours I am not able to detect the darkness of patchouli or the vibe of moss... Ambergris is all around. To me, it is suitable for warm and hot seasons like spring and summer time in Italy. Any occasion is good, but night out, just try it.

Ultimately, great smell, clean, fresh, long-lasting, it draws compliments. Oops... I forgot to say from the very beginning that... Paco Rabanne Invictus is equivalent, I compared both hand to hand.

I was so skeptical, but now I'm smelling so good! Albeit the sweetness, ain't no cloying in hot summer, so fruity and flowery. it's a winner!

There are many better smells

I once went to a Zara store, noticed they had perfumes in 20ml bottles, and selected two I liked the best: Silver and Blue Spirit. Unfortunately, I discovered shortly that both are the kind of fragrance that smells interesting initially, but when you get familiar with it, its flaws become very apparent. Blue Spirit is a sweet fruity berry fragrance, and a botched one. By that I mean I like the direction they tried to go, but the execution of this idea is just bad. As people noted in their reviews, it smells cheap and artificial. It's not awful, it's almost passable, just slightly bad, but why would you wear it when there are so many better perfumes? It's on the cheap side, yes, but there are still many better perfumes at a similar price.

4 Euro for 30 ml

Bought spontaneously when I got the Zara Rich Warm Addictive. "Good for the gym bag."
In the end, that's exactly what it became. I don't think I need to describe the scent DNA here on Parfumo anymore. Invictus through and through. Maybe a bit fresher. That's why I find it perfect for the gym.
For the price, it doesn't hurt anyone.
Longevity is about 6 hours with generous spraying.
Sillage is very moderate and subtle after the first half hour.
Invictus may not be the greatest olfactory revelation, but it's no secret that you'd rather smell like fresh fruit gum than a sweaty man.
All in all, the perfect cheapie for a 1 to 2-hour stay at the gym or other similar sports activities.
It lasts longer than a deodorant, both in terms of longevity and consumption.

Fresh Scent

The perfume shelf at Zara now offers quite a large selection, so I took a moment to smell what’s available there.

I found Blue Spirit to be successful, fresh and aquatic, a bit like a high-quality shower gel. The development on the skin was limited, remaining in the "fresh" category. Given the price-performance ratio (available in 30ml or 75ml), it’s a well-executed scent; however, one shouldn’t expect too much from the longevity/sillage, as the fragrance tends to fade relatively quickly.
