Cool Off With A Cucumber Cooler Cocktail
The ZARA website describes Radiant Bloom as fresh, fruity and floral with prominent notes of bergamot, jasmine and guaiac wood. It is the most curious, exclusive and sweetest of the four fragrances in the Chapter n ° 1 collection. I love the other three, no doubt, but this one is more like something I’ve never heard before, on a par with Tonic Impact.
There is a lot of freshness in the beginning, thanks to the bergamot. It’s also bubbly, elegant, and alcoholic like there’s gin or flavoured liqueur, a trendy Cucumber Cooler cocktail without the watery cucumber, of course, just the gin, citrus and mint note. For a while, I sense the aromatic, slightly bluish vibe of lavender, not the dry, hay-like nuance that characterises "Pour Un Homme de Caron (Eau de Toilette) | Caron" or English Lavender, for example, but something closer to modern Sauvage Eau de Toilette, lighter on the skin but more robust on the paper strip. The initial phase is semi-fresh, creamy and incredibly alcoholic. The alcoholic aspect of the gin-based cocktail is quite clear and direct to me.
Despite its name, Radiant Bloom, in the heart, as in all other stages, I have nothing like floral notes or wood. As soon as the effects of the alcohol wear off, I feel the indolic jasmine providing great sweetness. The sour and zesty accord of the citrus fruits moves in the background, while jasmine is prominent, and I immediately feel its sweetness, more fruity and creamy than floral. Although jasmine is the central note I get most, it does not trespass on the feminine territory. A smoky tip rises from the bottom, warm, soft, perhaps a shade of guaiac wood.
When the perfume approaches the final stage, the dry-down turns pleasantly creamy, slightly nutty, and velvety, with a brilliant touch of smoky and tarmac vanilla, a more warm spice than a greedy pudding or cake. The combination of coumarin and exotic guaiac wood gives the scent a pleasant, peculiar, smoky nuance with tar-like subtones, like fresh tobacco or the smell of burning leaves in winter.
Radiant Bloom is for the daytime; warm seasons fit better for wearing it. The performance is acceptable; it moderates both projection and longevity. If I had to put this one in a folder, I would choose the blue one, as the scent belongs to the Blue category. I am not sure what perfume inspired this one, but I am sure it is astonishing.

P.S. After using it several times, I have to admit it reminds me of H24 Eau de Toilette. It's not an identical copy, H24 pushes a lot on the floral narcissus note so as to make it more metallic. But once the narcissus subdues, the vibes are very similar, and if you are not fond of metallic notes, Radiant Bloom is a valid alternative to H24.
