Poivre Pomelo Atelier Materi 2019

In the search for a summer fragrance for 2024, you can't quite avoid grapefruit...the sales figures for Pomelo Sorrento are through the roof...let's see if there's an alternative...
This one starts with a really sour, tangy grapefruit...briefly intense...vetiver notes underline this tanginess right at the beginning and soften it into a slightly earthy note...some Szechuan pepper is more likely to be suspected than recognized...
This effervescence/acidity quickly subsides and makes way for a delicate peony - underpinned with angelica / osmanthus....round, not too sweet or even obtrusive....
After some time, a hint of mild cedar remains, mate - vetiver now more distinct...less earthy...and that definitely lasts for some time..
Definitely a summer fragrance - if you think it smells like grapefruit for a really long time, you will be disappointed - citrus aromas unfortunately don't last very long on the skin - nevertheless, its freshness persists for a surprisingly long time.....
Radiance at the beginning and briefly clear - then it becomes more discreet to almost restrained..
If you are looking for an alternative to the Gritti product for the summer - not a bad idea to try this one out
