Essential masculine sex appeal perfume
Imperial Wood is not super woody to me, which initially I was confused by
I found it extremely resinous, spicy and licorice forward.
I hate the taste of licorice/aniseed in cheap confectionary but my GOD does it smell good in perfume

The above mentioned syrup like notes are offset perfectly by the smooth and sensual rose, gentle spices like cardamom, tonka
And my two favourite notes in perfume; soft oud and saffron.
So I'm a lil biased towards Imperial Wood because it ticks every single box I have for a must buy

As you can probably surmise from that description, this stuff is seriously sexy.
I wouldn't wear it to work unless you're trying to get a promotion, or something a bit more steamy w your boss
Opening is slightly fem, but overall it leans slightly masculine - most definitely unisex.
Btw that's also the amount of sex you'll get if you wear this daily

Drydown is when the wood and oud comes in heavily, with a bit of incense from the frankincense. The leather is supple and expensive feeling, as is this fume in general

As with most Pana Dora perfumes, you're getting seriously strong projection.
I get about 14 hours, with a large sillage. 3 sprays absolute max on this big dawg

Also has the best bottle I’ve ever seen. Colouring is better than the other Pana Dora I’ve seen

Pana Dora is easily S tier niche, and so is Ibrahm Al-Zoubi
Every perfume I have tried from them is entirely unique and unlike anything I have smelled
(except Aqua by Dora but that doesn't count bc it's so much better than Tygar)
My pooky Pana Dora dropped yet another masterpiece.

Btw the Noir de Noir comparison isn't super accurate as they don't smell all that similar - but the vibe and feel is similar.

I will date you if you wear this slutty stuff

Stunning
Imperial Wood by Pana Dora is a captivating olfactory journey that seamlessly marries sophistication with warmth. The enchanting blend of rich, woody notes creates a timeless fragrance that lingers delicately on the skin. From the first spritz, it transports you to an imperial forest, where the essence of fine sandalwood and cedarwood unfolds. The fragrance evolves beautifully, revealing subtle hints of spice and amber, leaving a trail of elegance in its wake. The longevity is impressive, ensuring a day-long embrace of this exquisite scent. Imperial Wood is not just a perfume; it's a sensory masterpiece, making every moment unforgettable.

A Nordic Mind in Oriental Heat
This is a winter symphony. Pure beast mode. I absolutely love it. It excites me.
It’s winter outside, yet the moment I smell it, my mind shifts to 35 degrees. I’m lying on a big cushion somewhere in the Orient, long ago, in another time.

I feel overwhelmed with excitement, like a Viking who has never seen such beauty before—who has never experienced aromas this gorgeous in an entire lifetime.

An Evening by the Fireplace on the Skin
It was a cold autumn evening when I first sprayed Imperial Wood. Outside, the clouds hung low, and the wind smelled of rain and damp leaves. The moment the first notes unfolded on my skin, it was as if someone had lit a warm fire in the fireplace.

The spicy blend of saffron, tobacco, and thyme immediately enveloped me powerfully, richly, a little mysteriously. I felt transported to an old library, somewhere in a 17th-century Swedish manor: wooden beams, candlelight, books full of stories.

Then came the second wave: cocoa, vanilla, cardamom. Suddenly, there was something sweet, warming, almost as if someone had placed a cup of hot chocolate with spices beside me. It was not cheesy or overloaded, but velvety, deep, and soothing. A contrast between strict elegance and cozy comfort.

The longer I wore it, the more the leather and oud gained weight. I felt the seriousness, the dignity of this fragrance. It was as if it had a story to tell, one that spoke of bygone times, of festive tables where wine and spices filled the room, and of moments when time passed more slowly.

At the end of the evening, I sat by the window, looked out into the night, and took a deep breath. Imperial Wood did not feel like just a mere perfume, but rather like a memory that you stumble upon by chance. Warm, profound, almost majestic.

And since then, it has become more than a fragrance for me. It is a ritual for evenings when I feel I deserve something special or simply a companion that reminds me that even in the quietest moments, a whole world can fit in.

How could I…
Blinded by massive bottles with deer heads, elaborate descriptions, and promising notes, I was prepared for something great.
But when my sample arrived and I tried it, I was disillusioned.
Even later, when the brand was available locally, the compositions failed to convince me at all. Too familiar. Too sweet. Too expensive.

Since then, a few months have passed, I found my sample again after rearranging and getting a new perfume cabinet, and I wanted to try it once more. Has anything changed? No.

This scent is still too sweet for me, I have no idea what the Wood in the name is doing there, the price actually shocks me, and I am glad not to own a bottle.

But I do want to address Imperial Wood a bit more differentiated. Despite not seeing any wood in it. Instead, the scent starts opulently with a lot of soft spices, warm notes of tobacco and resins that neither scratch nor smoke, a hint of flower, and that’s it. Once the initial impression fades, it becomes sweeter in the background while remaining soft and spicy on top. Cinnamon, vanilla, and tonka play together. Skillfully done, yet I can't shake the feeling that I have smelled this blend countless times before and simply find it repugnant. Additionally, right at the bottom of the sweetness in the composition, there is a piercing synthetic note. And that ruins everything for me.
The rest of the progression is linear and without further surprises. That's perfectly fine. It doesn't need any directional changes to be a well-composed scent. But here, I was disappointed.

As already mentioned: too sweet, too familiar, too expensive. What a shame.

Ein sehr reiches und elegantes Parfum durch Rose, Hölzer, Gewürze und orientalische Noten, einer der passendsten Parfums für Winter

Opens rose-oud w/ fluffy rose & prominent sweetness, reminds me of Oud Satin. Transitions more woody & eventually leathery. Not special.

Nothing special, one dimensional with no depth. The performance is also quite average.

The bottle & scent (Saffron Rose-Oud) weren't reinvented here
Deer makes sweet, vanilla-like eyes
But performs like a stag

Initially rose-oud, the umpteenth infusion, then a turn to gourmand with lots of tonka/vanilla. This results in a bitter almond-like note...

Rose-Oud with saffron
Well-known
+ metallic notes from the saffron.
Papery and just way too much,
That I have to wash it off.

So the wood aspect didn't really come through for me. Tobacco blossom, spices, and tonka bean are prominent.

Extremely sweet, rather artificial rose oxide note - intensified by tonka in its intensity, probably synthetic oud note, spicy woody base.

He has a new air freshener for his AMG. Rose-Oud-Winter Spice Edition with new car leather.
Understatement has never been his thing.
