Rivers of Siam ? Nope...
Anyone who has ever been to Thailand knows...the rivers there are not what you want as a perfume...and yet...this perfume is quite successful
I'm testing the extrait version here - apparently it hasn't made it into the system yet...

What am I getting in my nose - this thing is not really easy...
Lavender and orange blossom can be clearly smelled at the beginning...the bergamot is restrained...
Intense suede right at the beginning...some iris...creamy embraced by sandalwood...birch brings a woody, green fresh aspect....Osmanthus a certain sweetness...
The base of musk...yes ...there is enough in there and a tiny bit of vanilla underpins the whole thing...becomes clearer very late
Complex thing...especially with the extrait...please use only tiny amounts otherwise it will be a bomb.
Summer ? Winter ? I'm undecided...death by blind purchase and without longer testing could happen instantly...this thing is really special...I have to test it myself much longer to write a good review - but if you get it somewhere - definitely try it out...

Grapefruit...again...but different...better ?
In the search for a summer fragrance for 2024, you can't quite avoid grapefruit...the sales figures for Pomelo Sorrento are through the roof...let's see if there's an alternative...
This one starts with a really sour, tangy grapefruit...briefly intense...vetiver notes underline this tanginess right at the beginning and soften it into a slightly earthy note...some Szechuan pepper is more likely to be suspected than recognized...
This effervescence/acidity quickly subsides and makes way for a delicate peony - underpinned with angelica / osmanthus....round, not too sweet or even obtrusive....
After some time, a hint of mild cedar remains, mate - vetiver now more distinct...less earthy...and that definitely lasts for some time..
Definitely a summer fragrance - if you think it smells like grapefruit for a really long time, you will be disappointed - citrus aromas unfortunately don't last very long on the skin - nevertheless, its freshness persists for a surprisingly long time.....
Radiance at the beginning and briefly clear - then it becomes more discreet to almost restrained..
If you are looking for an alternative to the Gritti product for the summer - not a bad idea to try this one out

exciting but equally sweeping
Number 2 of my achievements during the Munich Oktoberfest - apparently I need strong smells against this beer haze
What do I smell here:
The fragrance starts really fierce with rose - which could initially give the impression - not another rose whatever mix...
Wait...in the rose mixes a certain spiciness, wood and saffron-like notes - probably the Givaudin substance Safraleine - without this ever pure to have smelled...also a tobacco note could be suspected - here be thought of bright dry Virginia tobacco...
This impression lasts a surprisingly long time and is only after some time of the gingerbread spice replaced - vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa, clove and a hint of cardamom...
Finally, some Oudh, little incense and a subtle leather accord on the skin remains

Personally, I would have preferred a little less rose...nevertheless, we are stuck here with the Orient - successful, long lasting, finely tuned, heavy without knocking one down

A perfume for the big evening ...sparsamst used gehts but also times in the office...durability and Silage definitely far ahead...
Packaging high-quality...
For the price, however....habe I found perfumes that I personally find better made...the whole blurred but too much to a common Oriental

You have to understand the elephant...
Shortly rushed during my job at the Munich Oktoberfest to the perfume store of my choice and get recommended - and...gaaaaar not so bad...although not super exciting ...but rather straightforward...
What do I smell there: He starts with a dry powdery note of pink pepper, a little softer than expected by the included iris - but not to weaken the pink pepper - but to take the sharpness - the tingling or dull feeling of pink pepper actually remains....a little vanilla plays with purely...with time, the iris becomes more obvious...
This impression actually lasts quite a while until one recognizes the slightly earthy dryness of the sesame...the mild sweetness - keyword :cotton candy - comes through...becomes clearer...pink pepper disappears almost in its entirety...what remains is a slightly powdery-sweet mix of sesame, iris and restrained vanilla
Definitely succeeded - restrained, somewhat sweet...finely tuned but not an absolute highlight with huge exciting scent progression - gladly worn in autumn and winter - durability and silage rather in the good midfield
Packaging is as always a matter of taste - the elephant does not explain itself to me - nevertheless - really fine - well portable - felt but completely overprized

what a bull's eye
this mix of lily of the valley, sandalwood ( little ) , very mild oud, a touch of lemon and a perfect rounding with musk and amber is probably one of the most pleasing fragrance waters - pardon: attars ( is the plural right here ) I have ever smelled

the lily of the valley dominates the woody components here - without becoming too loud - a splash of lemon adds a touch of freshness - but is too creamy to even suggest sourness here...the sandalwood is equally smooth without splintery woodiness..

very successful round and soft - not necessarily for men - but - yet..that works..
perfect long shelf life and absolute high end design of the packaging pleases the eye - the price - pleases the manufacturer..therefore - never buy blindly without sample ...dazu waers - and so ingenious it is - too bad
