Dry smoky woods

Bois de Feu is a dry smoky woody incense fragrance, similar to Ébène Fumé Eau de Parfum and Black Lacquer. Unfortunately it also has the same performance issues as Black Lacquer. It's one dimensional but pleasant, and does what it advertises, a nice smoky tinge of firewood. I'd just rather have the TF frags.

The fireplace flames and smoke that make one feel drowsy.

The scent of papyrus always reminds me of Egypt.
When it is sprayed onto the skin, it feels as if enveloped in a light mist tinged with sand, carrying a slightly rough texture; after the smoke subsides, not just from the burning wood, but akin to the smell of sharpening a graphite pencil, emanating from the intersection between the lead and the barrel.

The unique dry woodiness of papyrus, combined with the scent of old paper, complements the ebony wood well. As the fire slowly burns, a smoky bitterness seeps out gently.
In the middle notes, the fire continues to dance within the wood and the dry leaves, lightly crackling; the substances within the wood gradually reveal themselves over time, blending the fragrant incense with the coolness of the burning vegetation, creating a woody aroma with a hint of freshness.

Unlike the confusion and hesitation caused by the swirling smoke when first lit, the smoky haze of the base notes is like fine mist (like a moisturizing spray ), with the gentle dissolution of vanilla, as if a cocooned hand softly caresses; the fire before extinguishing is always the warmest and most enchanting, its residual warmth gleaming like amber, leaving a soothing sensation that lulls one into drowsiness.
Overall, it exudes a mysterious, intellectual, tranquil, and soothing atmosphere. The presentation of the mid to base notes brings to mind a term I once came across: "Fire Mung", listening to the crackling of the fire, watching its burning, allowing one's thoughts to wander.

More than just an incense scent, it leans towards a woody tone. Moreover, this fragrance is quite suitable for a supporting role, adding depth and complexity to other scents.

The character portrayed seems to possess an extensive knowledge, profound wisdom, and exudes a mysterious aura, always with a hint of a tantalizing smile, tempting people to delve deeper into understanding you, reminiscent of the "Count D" from the comic "Petshop of Horrors".
In addition, the imagery in my mind is set in Egypt, not amidst the swirling sands of the desert, but in a nearby town, where occasional gusts of sand are not too harsh. The wind and sand guide you towards a weathered, unassuming gate.
As you push open the door, the crackling of the fireplace fills the room, casting a warm yellow light over the antique furniture, perhaps it's the ambiance or the smoke, momentarily causing one to feel lost and drowsy.
