Emotional contrasts

Reproducing the smell of leather with olfactory notes.
An objective perfectly achieved by Leather Effecto, a fragrance that literally left me speechless.
I define it as a magical combination of aromas such as saffron, very delicate, rum, sandalwood and vanilla which with their softness recreate an enveloping but rough smell at the same time, giving life to elegantly leathery scents.
A kind of Perfume that I love, expression of a duplicity that fascinates me: sweetness and strength, charm and awe.
Really, really beautiful. It goes directly on my wishlist.
Ideal for the cooler seasons.
“Flower Thrower” by Banksy, an artist who always manages to emotionate me with his thoughtful contrasts.

Warming & seductive

Leather Effecto is a really beautiful and slightly sweet fragrance with subtle dark notes.
All the notes harmonize perfectly with each other and create a symbiosis. I really like this fragrance!

Leather Effecto is compared here with Side Effect or is rated as similar. I can certainly understand that.
Nevertheless, there are differences.
In Leather Effecto, we also have this warming, this sweetness, the vanilla and that certain something. In Side Effect, for whatever reason, I always get a rosy impression in the first phase of the fragrance. But I never get that here in Leather Effecto.

I think Leather Effecto opens with a super nice mix of rum and saffron.
There is also a hint of nutmeg and a certain sweetness. This sweetness even has an almost subtle fruity note that could possibly be reminiscent of plum. In fact, however, it is the mix of primarily labdanum, amber and sandalwood that is making its mark here. The jasmine note also comes through for me after about 30 minutes, but rather soft and restrained.

Tobacco and a very pleasant leather also waft through the fragrance. This fragrance simply has a very slightly dark touch, which for me comes from the mix of leather, tobacco, rum, saffron and labdanum. However, tobacco and leather are not to be found in the pyramid.

I find this fragrance warming, sensual and seductive. In addition, this perfume is definitely unisex wearable.
It also brings compliments.
The slightly dark touch makes Leather Effecto a little more masculine than Initio's Side Effecto, for example. It feels like it has a few more rough edges, if you can even call it that, because this fragrance is also super pleasant despite everything.

Side Effect 2.0: The big, "boozy" brother of today's shadow fragrance!

Well, where should I start? Perhaps with the fact that Side Effect used to be a really brilliantly present and strong fragrance that really had character. The latest batch versions are an Aventus-like tale of sorrow and a shadow of their former selves. Insignificant, skin-deep rum plonk,

Attar Al Has must have realized this when they conceived Leather Effecto, because the similarities are there, even if I still see it as independent. But before I get too melancholy and look back too far, let's take a closer look at the Leather Effecto:

- From the very first spray, you are catapulted back to the good old Side Effect days; even better. The opening is captivating; intense, nutmeg and saffron blend seamlessly into one another and the rum is simply fantastically present in the foreground; really luxurious smelling, strong. This is followed by a truly floral delicacy of jasmine, used very decimated, but still giving the fragrance a honeyed warmth. Gradually, this slightly smoky and leathery side emerges, which probably comes from the labdanum, fantastic.

- In the drydown comes a captivating, delicate vanilla, which accompanies the fragrance on a soft musky cloud and is supported by the creamy aroma of sandalwood.

To summarize the overall impression: A potent, beautiful, stronger rum-based side effect that adds a slight leatheriness, creaminess and looseness in the drydown thanks to the labdanum and other ingredients. Far more multifaceted than the old Side Effect.

The H/S is really top, definitely way up there, be it projection or durability, a beast.
