Build Your Paradise, Just Without My Stones!
Shirin David: “I build my paradise without your stones.”
Me: “Yes, please, because it’s not worth it for me to throw them after you.”

The scent: “You never taught me to fly, yet I glide! [...] Are you flying with me?”
Me: “No, thanks.”

Die-hard fans have of course immediately uncovered the hint, which is more of a “hit someone with a fence post” than a subtle nudge, in “Are you flying with me?” and to everyone else, I’d like to share that I appreciate the song and didn’t even know Shirin David beforehand. Thus, I have a completely different image of her than those who have followed her career closely.
The nicely styled bottle piques my curiosity; black and gold have rarely let me down when selecting wines (Primitivo, ah).
Just slapping her own name on it seems a bit too clumsy, almost lame, for a Shirin David who masters several instruments and has a professional singing education.
So what will it smell like? Bossbarbie-Shirin or will it evoke associations with her emotional, vulnerable side?
Since there’s no knowledge without curiosity, I spray it on after reading the notes of this composition online.
Lychee, how great! Maybe it contains the cheeky-summery attitude of Gucci’s Rush, since Shirin also likes Gucci? The rest sounds solid to me, nothing outstanding, but it seems like you can’t go wrong with it.
Pft. Oops. That was just one, right?
It prickles in my nose, so I pinch it shut like with the LaRives and then perceive lychee, very fruity, fresh, not those sweet canned ones (which I also like), accompanied by tea. Maybe the opening was the bite into the poisoned apple?
After the tea seems to have been drunk up, the lychee lingers and more and more floral notes join in.
Ah, nice... IT COULD HAVE BEEN!
I love orange blossom, I love peonies, but this... is flower pudding in the intense version flavored with intense flower pudding.
It doesn’t smell particularly harmonious and is “too much,” although you have to get quite close to get that impression.
The scent: “Give it to him”?
Me: “Yes, give it to him, I DON’T need it. It won’t get better with you over time.”

That Shirin David sought out one of the noses of all noses for her creation doesn’t surprise me, after I found this out on Parfumo. Bossbarbie indeed. The list of his successes from Dior to Yves Saint Laurent to Guerlain is long and impressive.
But... as much as Shirin can do: she cannot do perfume.
For everything else, I take my hat off to her, because you can think what you want of her and her appearance: she has established herself as a brand and knows how to sell herself.
The success, also a Bambi for such achievements, proves her right. Her current single, released in mid-May as a cut from some album that has recently come out or will be released soon, has landed at number 1 on the German singles charts.
So why not expand the empire or at least try? She was not the first or the only one and won’t remain so either.
For me, I can only hope that her next attempt will be better or that she will orient herself in a different direction.

Fruity Fresh Summer Breeze
After the predominantly very poor reviews, I was quite surprised by how much I like this fragrance.

The bottle initially led me down the wrong path. I thought it must be a heavy perfume. However, it is a fruity and fresh scent that is very suitable for the warm days of the year.

The fragrance opens with a fruity lychee, shortly after which I perceive a very nice tea note. Apple does not show up on my skin. As it develops, the peony and orange blossom come through beautifully. I find that the flowers harmonize very well with each other. I do not smell the rose listed in the heart note, which is very much to my liking (a too overpowering rose has often spoiled a fragrance for me). The scent remains so lovely for about 3 hours and smells of fresh blossoms. In the end, very delicate musk and sandalwood join in.

The longevity for me is about 5 hours. The sillage is not particularly strong. Personally, I find that fitting, as sometimes less is more in warm temperatures.

I cannot understand the very poor reviews of this fragrance. But tastes are fortunately different. It is certainly not a masterpiece! But it is a beautiful fruity fresh summer scent. I like this unobtrusive fragrance so much that I immediately ordered a second bottle.

Different
I catch myself wanting to write that I’m not a fan of her. But that’s completely irrelevant. I’ve known Shirin for a long time from YouTube, and for me, she has something captivating. With the first perfume, there was too little “personal” in it. It smelled somewhat typically like a drugstore teenage scent. I find this one significantly better. I would have preferred a rounder bottle shape, but otherwise, I perceive the stones as high-quality. I’ve had it in my backpack several times, and so far nothing has come off.
Now to the scent:
I think it smells good. For a millisecond, it’s unpleasant, and then I smell freshness, apple, and tea. And yes, also lychee. I still remember that; Shirin mentioned it in her video about her second perfume. Again, this was a blind purchase, as I was too lazy to drive to the perfume store, so I ordered online when there was a 20% discount and was not disappointed. Honestly, I’ve had the impression online that only fans rate it very well, and the taste of a few fans was actually not met. For some reason, though, with perfumes, it’s often exaggeratedly written, “Stinks (extremely).” I’ve had this experience with another perfume as well; since then, I know that for some noses, it’s just like that. What I smell, someone else doesn’t necessarily smell at all. I suspect that I would buy it again for everyday use. I find it puzzling that both the bottle and the advertising give me the impression that it’s a heavy perfume, especially suitable for the evening. Neither of these applies to me personally at all. For me, it’s fruity and fresh, and I haven’t consciously perceived tea and apple in any perfume like I do here. Not lychee either. If I have to hurry in the morning and can’t decide, my choice is 70% Shirin. Apparently, I’m different from the masses. And also different from Shirin, very different, but this scent is really not bad. Give it a (2nd) chance!

Olivier Cresp and the Nasal Edema
Sugary fruity mix of a lot of 0815 "could be anything" fruit juice concentrate and detergent.

I believe Olivier Cresp probably became olfactorily blind during the first test of this creation. It wouldn't be a miracle. The genocide of nasal hairs has been declared.

To me, it feels like an extremely poor attempt to reach the level of Ariana Grande fragrances (which, by the way, are great for the target audience of young girls). The price range is similar anyway.

The longevity is rather moderate for such a sweet bomb, but the sillage is so strong, no, even penetrating, that the wearer could probably still be noticeable underwater.

Very weak shot from the German pop rubber boat.

"The scent doesn't suit you, it's light and fresh!" "Oh really." (Am I heavy and rotten?)
About the scent: Pear and peony, that's it.

Not suitable for young girls - it smells bad and isn't nice at all. It's more suitable for young boys to reject perfume. Not nice at all.

Olivier Cresp as a perfumer? - A real game changer... It's like a song featuring Rihanna. I'm curious!

1. The scent was already nothing special, but it can always get worse. Drugstore fragrance, and a bad one at that.

Superficial 0815 sugar mix - but at least it suits the namesake :) The target audience will like it.

She had the chance to create something amazing with O. Cresp and still chose a cheap teen fragrance. What a shame.
