Great Leather Jacket Scent

The fragrance is very rich in scent components. It has a leathery, smoky, woody, citrusy, and a slight animalic side. I know something like this from the well-known Guerlain fragrance L'instant de Guerlain pour homme, but everything harmonizes much better in Parfum Al03. It has a very nice leather that is not too overpowering but rather pleasantly elegant. The woods and the incense combined with the citruses round it off beautifully. It wants to be worn by a man who knows what he wants and who has already experienced quite a bit in his life. Great German perfume with superb sillage and longevity. I thank Yatagan for allowing me to test the fragrance.

... but for fragrance connoisseurs who have already gathered experiences in life!!

As a connoisseur (fr. connaître, to know), one refers to an expert, particularly in the culinary and artistic fields. I would like to expand this Wikipedia quote to include the term perfume so that I can connect it to an appreciation of my predecessor's comment and a discussion of this extraordinary fragrance. And I admit that I lack the expertise and (still ??) the scent experience to fully grasp, appreciate, and describe this fragrance.

For this is both the beautiful and interesting aspect of this scent, and on the other hand, the challenging one: So many top-quality ingredients have been used and professionally intertwined that individual notes are almost impossible to discern. I therefore ask for understanding that I will predominantly attempt to describe this fragrance through impressions rather than naming individual scent components.

- The fruits indicated in the pyramid in the top note are not perceptible to me, but there is a pleasant coolness, herbaceous-minty, presumably from the lavender... not sharp but refreshing like a good aftershave.

- In the heart note, rosemary and jasmine blend together, not too feminine due to the underlying very green vetiver. This part of the fragrance resembles a "Seductive" light.

- In the base note, this green/spicy vetiver note transforms into a brown, slightly smoky leather/wood accord. A wonderful, unique base note and something completely different from the usual vanilla finish.

Genre: Exceptionally designed, cooling spicy vetiver combined with incense, wood, and leather.

For: Men, signature scent, suitable as an elegant business fragrance.

Sillage and longevity: Medium and 8 hours.

Alternative: "07 Tanoke" for me 100%, though this one is less complex.

Status: Recommended as "al03" additionally trains the olfactory abilities of the wearer... so a real multiple benefit ;) Testing is worth it!!

Definitely not for little boys......

....... to stick with one of the slogans of this fragrance.

I had heard a lot about Biehl's fragrances and really wanted to sniff them. So off I went to my favorite perfumery to check them out.

On such excursions, I always look at the fragrance pyramids beforehand and usually limit myself to testing the scents that match my taste.

So it was here as well. AL03 was actually not on my list at all. Towards the end, when my two favorites (GS01 and HB01) were already decided, the nice saleswoman presented me with AL03.

Now, what can I say? Of course, it cannot be compared to the other two in any way, but somehow it is extremely captivating - especially since I was looking for a special evening scent.

From the described top notes, I can barely perceive a little bit of pineapple and lavender. They fade away quite quickly for me, and the strong herbal character comes to the forefront. I distinctly notice the rosemary, tarragon, and star anise, paired with a wonderful and not too overpowering floral note - although I couldn't say which is which.

This beautiful herbal character then harmonizes wonderfully in the base note with leather, vetiver, incense, and cedarwood.

As I mentioned at the beginning, this stuff is definitely not for little boys. Very pronounced sillage and a "scent that draws you in" that lasts a long time.

So I find the fragrance incredibly strong and I am already looking forward to the cold season when I can wear it more often.
