for people who like huffing freezer air
When I saw that this fragrance had a 'snow' and 'winter air' fantasy accord, my main fear was that I'd get a menthol-y, vaporub situation. Fortunately for me, that did not happen!
I love 'weird' vanillas and was super curious about how Sorce would interpret any sort of "cold" or icy note/texture, with my only experience with that being the ice note in Hilde Soliani's Latte Freddo. The snow accord here definitely leans more water than vapor or air, but it's the thought that counts; I think it still manages to evoke more of a frozen vibe that reminds me of sticking my head in the freezer and taking a deep breath. It later develops into this warmth that's enveloping but not heady or suffocatingly sweet, like walking into the home of someone who uses shea/cocoa butter and essential oils, or like a warm knit sweater you washed recently.
It's almost edible but not quite with just whispers of vanilla, a vibe that I think Sorce is very good at! Takes a bit of getting used to because fresh and gourmand is an uncommon combination, but somehow it works! Will definitely consider getting a full bottle next time their special order window opens.
