Fragrance for the well-groomed man
I became aware of this scent here in the forum. Ordered on the Internet. How do I like it ? Here we go.
Top note:
Pleasant, slightly green freshness meets a slightly spicy note. Quite balanced. Smells a little bit like fresh, slightly spicy herbs to me.
Heart note:
Spicy wood is clearly at work here. Resin, subtly sweetish, with a very light smoke. Heart note quite present.
Base:
Leather notes clearly dominate here. Amber creates a pleasant complement to the leather. It becomes more dominant / spicy overall. Leather slightly sweetish. Slight freshness remains right down to the base and supports the fragrance very skilfully. Very pleasantly balanced Conclusion:
An overall very successful fragrance, which reminds me of the 80s. In the base the fragrance reminds me a little bit of YSL Opium, but the whole fragrance doesn't. YSL Opium is in comparison more powdery, drier and much heavier. Bois Oriental is a bit "greener", fresher and lighter. Not better or worse, but different. I will wear it on cooler days in my free time. Durability with me 6-8 hours. I find Sillage sufficient, not a fragrance bomb, but certainly not weak or too discreet
