Light Confusion, but Hope Remains...

I became aware of Love by Engelsrufer through Kilian Rolling in Love, as the scent is indicated as a fragrance twin. I found Rolling in Love beautiful, but in my opinion, not worth the money. When I was at Müller, I had to test Engelsrufer right away. I sprayed it on, smelled it, and went shopping for a while. It developed very nicely after some time, floral, delicate, but still very noticeable for hours, which made it stick in my mind. Today, after my appointment at the optician, I walked past Müller again, and lo and behold, "20% off all fragrances." I quickly flipped through my wish list in my head and immediately thought of Love. However, since I was running late and had to go to work, I rushed in, grabbed the bottle, and quickly headed to the checkout.
Filled with anticipation, I immediately unwrapped the packaging in the car, sprayed the fragrance, and ......... there was almost nothing. I sprayed another 4 spritzes on my wrist in the hope of smelling something, but no, I could hardly smell anything, as if the scent had been diluted at least 10 times. All my hopes that it would develop in the cold or then in the warmth were not confirmed.
Even now, at home in the evening after 5 sprays, I can hardly smell the fragrance. I can't really explain this phenomenon. Maybe I should just let it sit for a while in the hope that a change will occur. I would love to experience that wonderful scent I had during the first testing once again.
Hope dies last, and I can wait.

Outwardly appealing, but far too sweet inside

I have always passed by the brand Engelsrufer because it seemed a bit too esoteric to me, and I can't relate to that at all. But I didn't want to be that way, so I reached for it on the shelf and sprayed Love.

Overall, I tested it on my skin twice because during the first time, I already noticed a subtle tipping note. Unfortunately, this happens quite often with testers in the brightly lit drugstore shelves.

The top note was still nicely mandarin-fresh. Unfortunately, only for 2 minutes. The floral heart note is simply too sweet for me. Artificial flowers dusted with way too much powdered sugar. And this powdery scent actually reminds me of Lacoste Pour Femme. Just in a veeeeery sweet version.

The sillage is quite strong for about half an hour. After that, it quickly loses its strength. In the base, it becomes a bit woody, but still too sweet for me and only noticeable when you sniff directly at the skin.

Unfortunately, this scent is not for me. I would only recommend Love to those of you who are looking for a much sweeter Pour Femme. But even then, it’s not really worth it. Engelsrufer fragrances are quite expensive considering they sit on the drugstore shelf next to Mexx and Co. This could be because they clearly put more effort into the bottle design than into the fragrance itself.

Let’s see if the other fragrances in the line have a bit more to offer.

Yesterday, my husband discovered three Engelsrufer fragrances at D in the bottom shelf.

With Love, Luna, and Love.

Who had banished these beautiful fragrances to the sidelines?

Even my husband was outraged, as he enjoys perceiving With Love on me.

I am torn between Luna and Love.

It's difficult to decide, as both fragrances are attractive in their own way.
Here the silver full moon on a starry night - there a flower meadow in broad daylight.

Bright jasmine and fresh lily of the valley are softly powdered by iris.
Yet Love does not lose its lightness.

Sandalwood embraces familiar, and cedar gently supports the fragrance with a smoky touch.

Sighing, I place Love back on the shelf and take Luna to the checkout.

Then my husband comes rushing in with the pink little box and says: You can't leave love here!
How right he is.
