Not just carrots.....

Love les Carottes is a fun fragrance and not as unwearable as it appears. In fact it's very wearable. Love les Carottes (by the way my bottles is without the "I" as mentioned above) opens with fresh and young carrots, but develops quickly into a rooty and orris like fragrance accompanied by a lot of earth. No sweetness at all during this stage. That stage lasts for about an hour after which the drydown sets in. The drydown is a nice fresh and only slightly sweet vanilla, orris and benzoin combo. Too bad the final stage wears very close to the skin. Also this is not a gourmand fragrance.

Final verdict? I like it, especially the final stage.

Oh no...

...so please.
When I recently stumbled upon 'I Love Les Carottes', I promptly ordered a sample. But I had no idea what was in store for me. Although... I probably should have guessed.
Definitely roots (that's what we call it here) - carrot would actually feel too elegant for me right now. And soooo much just roots. Magnificent, bright orange, with juicy green.
Unfortunately, it's just not for me... Yes, at some point, a friendly wave from the orange passed by, but vanilla? Nope. At least not on my skin.
Feel free to try it out. Maybe it will totally blow you away.
I want Liberty Fizz by Nina Ricci from the 90s and it smelled cheerful like a bag of green tomatoes. But roots? No thanks. :)

Yoga Scent

I was really curious about how a "carrot perfume" smells....
It's probably not a scent that one wears casually in everyday life - maybe more when you need a bit of spiritual grounding;-)
I smell carrots and a lot of patchouli.
Maybe I'll wear it during yoga...

..........or rather: I have long, long left behind this time of drooled bibs and little shirts.

When I think back to my kids as babies, I rather remember that fine scent of "baby" in my nose, indescribable, one that no human has ever captured in a bottle, how could they, the chemistry of each person must surely be as differentiated as all the grains of sand on Earth?

Yikes, I am really shocked. This mixture is truly pure carrot puree, now a very unpleasant blend of strange plastic-orange is spreading, the carrot is gone and I am in the bathroom washing my wrist.
I gladly join Ingepetra - who on earth needs this scent?
