"The Legend" - I read on the tester
I first noticed Duftkumpels when they launched a number of works together with Georg Staudt. To put it mildly, they didn't quite meet my taste. Full-bodied advertising texts, the fragrances rather dull. The promising entrées have remained, and the perfumes are now appropriate. Some have probably been busy with their own maturing processes for years and have only recently become available. Mostly very limited, as is the case with this Mujahideen.
I briefly pondered a digression to explain the title and a few words are probably unavoidable. Yes, a mujahid strives to attain paradise in Islam through jihad, which in the West has consistently negative connotations due to corresponding deeds. According to the modern interpretation of this term, the term does not explicitly refer exclusively to acts of war, but can also simply mean, for example, the employee of an Islamic bank who wants to guide his customers away from conventional interest-based products towards alternatives that conform to Islam. That can also be worship. I will leave it at these lines, because Parfumo here is not a forum for the presentation of dogmas.

The fragrance begins with a lovely melody that tells of spices and woody, ambery notes. Animal notes emerge relatively delicately, with Bahamian ambergris leading the way. Slightly salty, warm water is joined by the first oud facets. Darker wood, still tamed by the honey that makes Mujahideen appear sweet, still tamed by very pleasant sandalwood, by chocolaty but also fresh moments. For me, there is also a soapy characteristic, which I would attribute to the sandalwood. However, this intermezzo only lasts a very short time.

Although the ouds break through the typical characteristics for a short period of time, the focus of Mujahideen remains on the rather gentle and contrasting elements. Every now and then they flare up, as if another face is briefly revealed. Musk and entourage continue to dominate, always complemented by a hint of spice here and a floral accent there. Gradually, sweet, resinous additions such as benzoin marry with the ambergris. This is where the fragrance reaches its own climax, it doesn't get any better in this category, it is perfect in form, there is no need for picturesque impressions that I could tell you about.

All in all, a strong, complex fragrance. A diametrically opposed work, yet full of harmony. The "archaic", powerful ingredients radiate moderately through the combination with lighter ingredients. The latter then also dominate the fragrance, resulting in a very pleasant scent that is very wearable, although the notes are correspondingly diverse. I won't go into much detail about the pricing policy, because yes, Duftkumpels doesn't offer any "bargains". The prices are not overpriced in relation to Ensar and the increasingly expensive US artisans or Indian artisans, as they are pretty much identical. You just have to want to spend it.

Perfection - an olfactory journey around the world
Thanks to the very generous addition of Attar Guru (fragrance buddies), I have had the ultimate pleasure of enjoying this olfactory masterpiece.

This fragrance combines (for me) all the positive characteristics:
complex and at the same time very clear, powerful and at the same time extremely delicate, flowing, finely interwoven like a ghom, dominant and yet restrained.
Attar Guru's signature is clearly recognizable. More is not possible in terms of quality, a unique composition with definite recognition value, yet very wearable.
Absolute perfection for me - thank you for this unique opportunity.
Value for money for this quality and in view of the uniqueness absolutely coherent.
