Peppermint's Rose Scent Discovery (Inspired by Louis Vuitton Les Sables Roses)
First, I would like to sincerely thank my dear "Peppermint" for gifting me this sample, you are simply the best!
Since she appreciated this scent so extraordinarily, I became immediately curious.
After all, she is not the biggest fan of roses.
To my surprise, the fragrance turned out to be quite rose-heavy.
About the scent:
Although bergamot is listed in the top notes, I perceive a super feminine, fresh, and quite authentic rose from the very beginning.
The bergamot itself remains completely in the background.
It contributes at most to the initial freshness, and upon closer sniffing, a slight fruity accent resonates in the background.
However, the rose is simply too dominant to allow these notes (bergamot or pear) any space.
As the scent develops further, the rose remains the main actor.
The fragrance, however, develops a slightly spicy and woody nuance, likely stemming from the dry woods and pepper.
In the background, traces of elemi resin and patchouli are also detectable.
These add a pleasant spiciness and earthiness to the fragrance without losing its rosy character.
Thus, the rose remains dominant until the end, pushing all other components into the background.
What I particularly like about this rose: even though it is so present, it smells noble, feminine, and unobtrusive.
For all rose fans, this fragrance is definitely worth a try.
The longevity is typical for most Arabic fragrances, top-notch.
I also find the sillage to be above average.
It is not a screamer, but the scent bubble is pleasantly noticeable without ever being intrusive.
Although the fragrance is declared unisex, it is, in my opinion, a bit too feminine (W80%/20%M).
Unfortunately, I do not know the original, which is why I cannot draw a comparison to Arena Intense.
But my conclusion is: if you are looking for a feminine, noble rose scent, you should take a closer look at this one.
Personally, it is too feminine and a little too rose-centered for me.
However, I can very well imagine it on a woman.
