Authentic, delicious cola (Tonka Cola alternative)
Many thanks to the lovely "Sarajk" who gave me a bottle of Cherry Cola as a gift I really wanted to test it and what can I say? I am fascinated.
Not only is it called Cherry Cola, it actually smells like it, at least like cola.

For me in the opening, however, it's more like a cold, sparkling cola with a slice of lemon on the rim of the glass.

In the DD, cola and cinnamon are the most prominent notes.
Lemon gives the fragrance that tasty, tangy note that you get from a cola, but is no longer as prominent as in the opening, but still there.
Gradually, benzoin and vanilla are added, but never become too prominent.
I wait in vain for the cherry.
But in the air, I detect a slight hint of cherry, but not up close, so it could be my nose.
Cinnamon, lemon and cola are the most prominent notes for me until the end.
The cinnamon somehow reminds me of big red chewing gum, but in a more pleasant way.

All in all, a great, authentic, unisex cola fragrance for little money.
H&S could be better, unfortunately rather moderate, but if you overspray it definitely works.
I will buy a bottle sooner or later, I love it and can recommend it to anyone who likes the scent of cola.

I can't say how close it is to the original Tonka Cola as I have unfortunately never tested the Mancera.
But from what I've heard, it's more of an alternative and not a 1:1 dupe.

Great dupe for cola lovers
Shortly after I fell head over heels in love with Tonka Cola and immediately bought the 120 ml bottle, I came across Cherry Cola. Even though I think the price-performance ratio of the original is absolutely justified, I was not averse to a cheaper alternative, which is why it was chosen.

Cherry Cola starts tangy, fruity, fresh and also synthetic with cola, lemon and cherry. The cinnamon in the background adds spiciness, but I don't recognize any nutmeg. This opening makes me think of those lemon cola pacifiers and cherry cola bottles. Delicious, but also a little artificial without being annoying.
Over time, the patchouli makes it spicier, but it is also a little biting and tingling on the nose. The fragrance ends with a resinous, sweet drydown, the cola is still recognizable.

What are the differences to Mancera? First and foremost in the synthetics.
to my nose, Tonka Cola starts without cherry, but with lots of cinnamon. It's not synthetic at all for me, it's softer and smells a little more sophisticated (sounds almost contradictory in the context of cola).
The OG also develops more harmoniously and the cola note recedes somewhat, while Cherry Cola keeps the cola relatively high throughout. Tonka dominates the OG at the end. I don't recognize the tonka quite as strongly in the Dupe.
While the OG makes me think of the green cola plant, the Dupe is very synthetic in comparison and is more reminiscent of cola syrup.
Even if there are differences, I would most likely mistake the Emir for the OG if I were to hold it under my nose without any further information.
The durability of the OG is worlds better. Mancera impresses here with a good 10 hours of perceptibility, while Emir has receded considerably after 4 hours.
The sillage is also better in the OG, but there are no worlds between them.

The bottle looks good and the color matches the name. At 75 ml, it corresponds to the size of the 120 ml bottle of Tonka Cola. However, I would have preferred a smaller or larger version instead of making the base of the 75 ml bottle a good 2.5 cm thick, which also makes it significantly heavier than the OG.

If you are still unsure about the cola note, don't have a problem with synthetics and don't want to spend a lot of money on the OG, Cherry Cola is a good choice. I also like to freshen up with the dupe when the cola note of the OG has worn off a little too much. But I probably won't buy it again, I'd rather stick with the original.
